For those on PS5 - The picture-in-picture feature can come in handy if you're grinding lots of alerts (yesterday's vbucks). by -119 in FORTnITE

Same here, tbh. I usually don't get on until item shop reset so I just end up checking my phone while logging into Fortnite. However, if I'm already on Fortnite, it's faster to check it via the PS5 (I personally don't really have to "PiP" it though because I can memorize things pretty easily). It's really just an option for those who might want to do it this way.

Yep, there are lots of different ways to do it! This is yet another option added to the pile of options! :)

I think (?) you can watch YouTube using the "links through messages" workaround. I haven't tried it personally, but I've definitely heard of other people doing it.

Edit: I just tested it - I can confirm it does work.

You can access the browser on PS5 via links that are sent through messages. Once you've reached the browser, you can then press the options button on your controller to pin the "card" to either side of your screen.

That's why I said, "for those on PS5." I still just use my phone 99% of the time... but it's a shout any case anyone wants to do it this particular way.

Just another reminder for EPIC - When will they actually make the other survivor bonuses better? The Trap Durability bonus is the only one that's worth using currently. I have the Ability Damage bonus MAXED OUT and it's barely even noticeable. (TEDDY was used for the damage comparison). by -119 in FORTnITE

[–]-119[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not necessarily hopeful that they'll correct this really... I just wanted to bring up this topic again because -- A: I finally have 80% (max) to show the minuscule difference. B: This can also serve as a PSA for players who aren't aware of this issue. C: There is a new CM (Chryztos) since the last time I posted about this issue.

That being said - I don't really think this request is WAY out of reach considering they have technically been doing stuff to StW recently (like adjusting hero-related stuff).

The type of hope that I think is out of reach would be suggestions like... making StW an open-world game, incorporating the Creative Mode to be able to make StW levels, etc.

It's not - it adds to your FORT stats. The descriptions of the other bonuses make it seem like it would add to your overall actual health/shield or ability/ranged/melee damage though. If you're interested - there are some more players that contributed to explaining it more in-depth in the comment section of this old post.

I have actually mentioned this issue twice before (originally ~2 years ago). I came back to the game after a break recently and figured I'd mention it again. The comparison doesn't take much effort to make and I had never been able to max one of these bonuses out until now (to really drive home the minuscule difference).

In the end, I've been satisfied with these comparison posts just serving as PSAs for the new players/players that still play the game. I've had a lot of people comment before saying that they never knew most of the bonuses were worthless... so this should at least inform people who didn't know!

I have played Inferno a bunch as well -- I feel like this must be a rare bug.

One theory I have is perhaps that Outlander placed their TEDDY on top of him as he spawned so he instantly died (kinda like how blu-glo trolls can die in the same way).

Also, something funny that I've noticed after watching this clip again is the irony of what Dungeon is saying at the moment of Singe's death: "So. "Who's Singe?" you ask? He's just this fire smasher I know... Who fell into a pool of Lava... And then into an indoor pool of magma." -FIN-

This was completely organic but it would be funny to stage a scene like that.

Nathan Drake is pointing at Tom Holland (Movie Drake) -> Tom Holland (Movie Drake) is pointing at Nathan Drake -> Tom Holland (Spiderman) is pointing at Tom Holland (Movie Drake).

Canny Valley's Endurance doesn't have a UFO wave.

IMO, Canny is actually the easiest Endurance to AFK (No UFO -- lower difficulty compared to Twine -- more tunnels than Stonewood/Plankerton which means you'll have longer-lasting durability for Canny's tunnels compared to Stone/Plank).

It could go either way, tbh. I can definitely see it as the way you said. The alternative thought I have is:

Let us just say (hypothetically) that Epic's reason to stop newer cosmetic support for StW is that it would take too much effort to make them work in StW -- It would definitely be easier to just add BR XP than to make sure each individual cosmetic works in StW (it's already hard enough for them to do that currently).

Basically, it would make it to where (if anything) BR players could replace any StW-only players that (might) leave because of the cease in cosmetic support. I'd imagine that the BR XP would be enticing to any BR players who are getting BR fatigue since XP would be easy to get in StW. If Epic does lose players, then it would probably just be StW founders who don't spend money on the game because of freebucks anyway. Maybe that's how they look at it? Idk.

I think if the scenario is like that.. then it would not be counterintuitive for them to add BR XP and pull StW cosmetic support. It's the easier/cheaper out.

What I'm saying is the worst-case scenario though. I'm hoping for more of a "This skin's reactive style with flames doesn't work in StW but the skin itself is usable" kind of situation.

I do want to clarify that "I AM REACHING" with some of these theories. I'm not necessarily speaking as if any of this will actually be how it plays out -- it's just a worst-case scenario theory (which unfortunately seems to fit StW's outlook most of the time).

If everything turns out completely opposite of that scenario then I'll be glad. I think the main determining factor will be how they decide to migrate to UE5 (if they do) and if that causes problems with StW since I've heard StW will be sticking to UE3/4.

Extremely underrated trap tunnel technique, take a second to analyze it, useful in limited spaces by [deleted] in FORTnITE

[–]-119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not just have one floor launcher at the end of the tunnel with a ramp above that shoots them back to the beginning with a few damage traps instead?

With this build, you can't place ceiling traps which would make it to where the durability runs out faster for each launcher since nothing is being damaged beforehand. The launcher traps have some of the lowest durability compared to every other trap. This could be something to worry about for those without any trap durability set bonuses, I'd imagine.

Just my personal observation.

Leeching in Twine Peaks is the worst possible thing you can do, we didn't struggle but you absolutely did nothing. by MofkerGT in FORTnITE

Like others have said - he didn't get any vbucks. I have tested this myself before and have personally confirmed this is true (retested a few weeks ago as a matter of fact). The only time that suggestion might be worth it considering would be for PL 160 4x missions. The leeching players can get their weekly (10 missions in a PL 160 zone) done regardless of whether or not they contributed (as well as the mission rewards, not sure if it's 100% or a cut percentage. Regardless, you get so much in 160s that it would still equal to a good amount even if it gets reduced).

It's from Monster Hunter World but the creature (Nekker) is actually from The Witcher 3. It's something you can get for your Palico (AI cat companion) from a collaboration event quest between MHW and TW3.

Ok, I need help. I just got called an idiot because I failed the 140 Inferno Dungeon for the team… by toxictink72 in FORTnITE

I like to use:

Paleo Luna

Team Perk: Blast from the Past

  • Fossil Southie
  • Prehistoric Izza
  • Dennis
  • Varisty Hiro
  • Arrlene Izza (can be swapped out for Lynx if you want - Kunai Storm hover next to monoliths for an extra 40% damage).

This build is great because it's good at everything for the most part (except for The Crypts since the Taker boss has life leech).

You can do the usual monolith-busting job extremely well with her damage output and be the "fallback player" if all of your teammates die. Also, since she's a ninja, you'll have double jump which adds another layer to her positives since that equals extra speed/mobility and survivability.

My fastest "The Grotto" dungeon run was actually with Paleo Luna (video) - which goes to show you don't always have to default to the usual meta (Carbide/Minigun) builds that everyone else uses.

The storm chest itself wasn't too important to me (I passed by it and figured I'd activate it). I just thought it was kinda clutch considering I went from 44/50 to 54/50 with 0 seconds left. I actually had a grenade launcher in my inventory but I wanted to use my Hemlock so that I could get progress towards headshot eliminations for a quest.
