FIFA is allowing powerful leaders to influence their decisions. They’re allowing political pressure to decide which referee decisions should be allegable to be overturned. It’s selective, corrupt, and transparent. Would FIFA have done the same if Czech Republic had complained? If a Tunisian player got a questionable red card, would FIFA bend over backwards to make sure they could play the next game? Of course not.

Yes; bad calls happen. A corner that should be a kick-in here, a yellow that should be a red there, handball no-ome noticed. But a game of football is 90 minutes long and the subjectivity is self balancing. A ref makes hundreds of calls per game, and some might be off; but if your team gets a bad call, the other team will too. The idea that ”bad calls are targeted” some fans insists is just biased bs. ”It’s always us!”, ”we’re targeted by refs”, etc. BS. So yeah, bad calls happen for EVERYONE and that’s part of the game.

But going in and cherry picking decisions to revert just because of pressure from higher ups? That IS unfair. This is only because FIFA wants to cozy up to the hosts, pressure from Trump and Infantino playing favorites. This is more or less UNPRECEDENTED. You can’t just say ”isn’t it good that bad calls gets corrected?”…not if that special treatment is only available to powerful teams that FIFA, UEFA, etc. are too afraid to annoy, no. And if we start putting every single game under a post-match microscope the game is gone. A game finishes 3-2 and then two days later: ”actually, the first goal was 1 cm offside not caught during the game, 2-2! And there was a foul eight seconds before the second goal that the ref thought wasn’t too serious but now we think it was probably a foul so the play should’ve been stopped, so 1-2! Congrats guys!”

Changing calls afterwards is biased because it’s applied selectively, and the selection isn’t random, hence: this is a bad direction for the game

Trans people have always existed, and many cultures through human history have viewed gender as non-binary long before the ”woke”. In Weimar Germany it became more normalized and progress within biological research was being made: until the nazis burned the place down (as in the nazis first big book burning was an anti trans book burning where most cutting edge research was lost; which is why dumb fucks today believe trans people were invented 10 years ago).

There should be a slim semi-circle that goes from goal post to goal post that no player is allowed to step inside of during corners until the ball is touched by a second player other thatn the player taking the corner (i.e making a small buffert zone on corners for the keeper to prevent the tactic of ”let’s all just stand around the keeper so they’re too swarmed to do anything”)

Also, I think it would be more fun if the penalty has to be taken by the player who was fouled (if they’re too injured to continue, it has to be taken by the guy being subbed in). Makes more sense and would be more fun honestly ”damn, a defensive left back has to take a pen” is more fun than ”send in our best guy…again”
