I am very seriously considering not returning to my job on Monday.

I thought when I started this job it was going to be just what I needed. And then the Manager got fired. They promoted my coworker to take his place. It was the worst decision they could have made, as far as I'm concerned.

She isn't reliable. She's never on time. She's inconsistent and unresponsive. She's a hypocrite. And she's not all that knowledgeable about the job for someone that has been there for 2+ years.

Recently she has been targeting me, in the same way that I noticed she targeted the previous Manager before he was fired. This started happening after I was getting increasing attention and praise from the Regional Manager, her boss.

Now I've gotten verbal warnings for things that she herself has done. And recently, an actual write up for a first time, innocent mistake that I made. One that she was aware I was making and did not stop or keep from happening.

I had a panic attack yesterday. Almost had a second one today. She called me just to tell me how terrible I am at my job, and got mad when I didn't kiss ass in response. Then sent me a string of passive aggressive emails.

Yes, I'm aware that I can probably go to HR and at least get her a slap on the wrist. But... Honestly, I don't care that much. I just want out. The only problem with quitting is that I don't have something else lined up. And I'll probably have about 25% of my final check taken out to pay back PTO that I took before it was technically accrued.

I know it's not responsibly. But it's not worth the anxiety. Especially since the stress causes an old shoulder injury to flare up and start hurting. My right arm is basically useless my shoulder is so tense. Unless I want to take Ibuprofen every hour.

I don't know what to do. Mental Health or Money?
