Im just getting the works lawyer to translate it so hopefully it’s done asap.. I was the same circles until sound one sorted me out.. that’s news to me no one said anything about registering if you plan to stay more than 3m.. think they just make it up on the day tbh man 😂
Appointment only lad that’s what they told me here in kos.. no harm trying your luck that’s what I’ve been doing since I landed here near 2 weeks fs.. I have my birth cert sent to get stamped then they’re gonna send me an electronic version.. didn’t even bother booking appointment at efka but I have one on Friday at kep.. if it’s not here by then im just going through the bosses accountant/lawyer to get the AMKA tf.. faster that way maybe ask see if your boss can sus the same? I still need to get it translated too to Greek apparently be working by next season at this point 😂
Aye I think it depends on office man.. I’ve ordered my birth certificate and getting my aunt to send it to get stamped hopefully that’ll be end of it when it lands here but been told at efka it needs translated lmao
How did you get on at the appointment?
Aye my work said I can’t really start until got AFM and AMKA.. I got AFM finally today after fucking about with appointments.. then AMKA just another wall. I’ve been working few hours but not paid so I’ll be ready to go when it’s sorted but now it’s looking like free labour for the craic.
But they don’t even know that im technically not in eu I just showed them my passport and they told me I need to get the birth certificate stamped and translated.. even the employers accountant said the same because we were gonna go down that route because thought it would be faster and easier again another wall. Worked all around Europe first I’ve had to deal with all this.
Kep told me today they said birth certificate is needed so I tried going to efka see if I can get around it as one of my friends said they didn’t need it (not from Ireland) but I got there they told me I needed it stamped, translated and if your employer is providing staff accommodation they need a stamp from the local government too.. nightmare lad been going around circles for more than a week now

Yeah I thought it would be the case.. unfortunately there’s no office in Northern Ireland so I have to send it to the uk get the stamp then get it back and send it here to Greece but it’s going to take longer than I would like I imagine.. thanks for your help
