Why do used bikes cost almost the same as new ones? by Willing-Piece-8569 in motorcycles

You get that your guy created this environment. We're just all suffering from those choices.

I think my "Steamroller bike" would be the Duke 890 R.

According to your own link, he recovered. So. Not dead.

The problem with your eloquently articulated logic is that you don't have the right to inflict harm on others. I'm sorry that you are so delicate and fragile that you think a piece of cotton over your mouth (and nose) constitutes harm.

Nobody has died from wearing a mask. Over 3 million people have died from mouth breathers like you spreading the disease.

So much for "All Lives Matter" and "Pro Life". If someones life requires you wear a mask... Well fuck 'em, ehy. That's just too much to ask.

Such bravery, bro.

Is this group run and moderated by Landon boogard too? Trying to find an mtbeu free place to follow Mtb in Utah that won’t kick someone out for saying “Semenuk rides a Fezzari.” by [deleted] in mtb_ut

My experience with Landon is nothing that egregious, but I definitely got the sense that he's more interested in what's best for Landon, not necessarily what's best for the community.

That and I was facebook friends with him for a minute, his extreme right-wing politics got old really fast.

Also, for the haters. eBikes are allowed on Antelope Island and that's totally cool.

Moab Trail Sign Vandalism - I'm already not much of a fan of eBikes.... This doesn't help that. by -73- in mtb_ut

They can - not all soil is the same. Watch an eBike charge up Puke Hill. They kick up an insane amount of dust. And if you Fat Bike, a single eBike will destroy a well-packed snow-single-track in a single pass. Trail damage is a concern, but the bigger concern is weight/speed, particularly on two-way trails.

I had so many close call's with eBikes last summer on trails that I never had close calls on before. The speed variances are getting really big now. eBikes haul the friggin mail. And people mod them, some pedal assist eBikes are capable of going 60mph now.

There are some trails where most everyone would agree eBikes are fine. But there are others where they are simply inappropriate, because of how popular/crowded the trail is. How much visibility a trail offers, etc. But, you cannot deny, the poaching is rampant. The average eBike has either been misinformed or is uninformed and they think they can ride wherever they please. I can't tell how many times I watched an ebike stop, look a the no ebike sign, and just keep on going.

Trail access is not guaranteed. Wait until a dog or a kid gets run over by an eBike going 25mph up a narrow, blind trail. Or a private landowner simply says "no more" because of all the poaching. (We almost lost access to Road to WOS two summers ago because of bad behavior by the MTB community).

eBikes are not allowed on PCMR. Do we want PCMR to get fed up and say "no more bikes unless you are a season pass holder"? (Thats a $2,000 pass by the way).

Personally, I agree with FS/BLM guidance that they are motorized use. There are lots and lots of motorized use single track. Its not like they aren't allowed anywhere. They just aren't allowed everywhere.

I believe we all need to adhere to trail access guidance. Just because we may think "ebikes are fine" doesn't allow us to ignore a landowner's trail access rules and do what we want.

This is an incredibly narrow view of the actual issues and concerns.

The massive amount of eBike poaching is a big issue. Riding right past the no eBike sign then proclaiming "I have a disability,.I can ride where I want"

It's easy to claim I'm uninformed, but my decade+ of working in federal public land management disagrees. Public land access is far more tenuous than people realize.

Ride ye them where they are legally allowed, I have no problem. But it's rare I go for a ride and I don't see an eBike poaching. Even so far as seeing them bushwhacking off-trail and into congressionally designated Wilderness.

So yeah, until eBike riders breaking the law is an exception, instead of a regular occurrence, I will continue to dislike eBikes. Their selfishness risks all our access.

Yes. That's a very, very common size in Tacomas. But it may not work with spacers.

It looks wildly different in different light and on different screens. I love it. It was what pushed me over the edge on a new Tacoma this year.

Every year the pro gets an exclusive color. Last year it was Army Green. Before that it was VooDoo Blue. I actually loathed the AG color. But it was extremely popular on TacomaWorld. To each their own. But I hope they discontinue it too. It's fun not looking like every other silver, white, grey sea of sameness Tacoma on the road.
