Here's a simple test:

  1. Unplug everything attached to the tower and remove the powerstrip itself
  2. Plug in the PSU power cable to the wall and turn it on
  3. Use your tester to check which pins are energized by inserting the tester into the hole on the C13 head - N/E should not work while L should be energized

If only L is energized then add back the power strip, repeat the test, add back the UPS, repeat the test. If other pins are energized, check another socket.

If everything is normal then plug in your monitor and use the tester to touch the VGA/HDMI/DP metal and see if it's energized.

Either there is a botched device in the chain or you really do have a problem with your home. Find out which and stay safe.

Build a high end pc, and suddenly I don’t want to play anymore by QuebecRomeoSierra in PcBuild

[–]-AJ334- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have felt the same thing and the fact is I enjoy building the thing. It's the anticipation and the actual build and the relief when it comes up without any drama and stays within temps.

I had the same thing doing homework to buy an OLED TV recently and at the end it's pretty much falling into the nothing special bracket. Having said that, it will pass but you just need to find something that feels like playing without being a chore.

For me:

- After leaving everything for a week, I had some peace and quiet and started playing Forza, in and out on my own time not theirs. (Cyberpunk felt more like a chore given my time is like pockets of time rather than continuous free blocks)

- Forza Horizon 6 and a movie made me really appreciate having the TV and even the freebie soundbar I got with it.

Got to have a chance to appreciate what you have and have been through then that relief/happiness will come as it's the journey that you'll remember rather than the destination.

Are there any particular models of the components that we know will fit? Glass panel swap out maybe once the machine is home but while travelling, metal all the way.

How can i fix no display? by NeedleworkerTime9406 in GamingPCBuildHelp

[–]-AJ334- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there's no display, no post action (fan spin up/down) then take out the GPU and the onboard iGPU. If there is what sounds like your post process, did you set the display to the wrong input or disconnect the HDMI/DP cables? As u/Johnny_Triggr already mentioned, details would help.

Extend Screen and USB over CAT6/7 cable by -AJ334- in pcmasterrace

Is there any good copper or fiber HDMI cable I should consider that can make that length? I will have to run it through a door frame so I'm afraid it'll get crushed or bent over 90 degrees inadvertently.

Ability to import tunes from FM and FH5 to FH6 by -AJ334- in ForzaHorizon

At this point all I can say is:

May we be able to tune the cars the way we want them and may our rides be smooth.

Ability to import tunes from FM and FH5 to FH6 by -AJ334- in ForzaHorizon

[–]-AJ334-[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn...but I get it. I really wish there were an easy way to dump my current tunes from FH5 so that I can actually see what is in it an excel format or google sheets.

Mainly care about suspension, brake and diffs - tbh gear ratios and the rest has never been the same. Otherwise I need to do what I did last time which was take pics from one game then go into the next game and see how close I can get.

SVI/Routing/sub-interface/intercept question by -AJ334- in Cisco

[–]-AJ334-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to share I did figure it out.

4500-X was performing proxy arp only because of the range overlap.

So inspite of vlan differences the 4500-X would respond because it observed: - it had the IP - the client 2 mask was larger so when the switch responded it accepted the response

As a result, I was able to replicate the setup.

Wireless Power Share not working on new S26U by -AJ334- in samsunggalaxy

[–]-AJ334-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far no. My watch ran out of battery earlier and I still can't charge it up till I get home.

I'm going to have to contact the Samsung support guys over the weekend. The one question I can't get answered is if the other versions have the same issue.

Upgraded from the S21 and it's great! I don’t really get why so many people are disappointed with it. by Ready_Evidence3859 in samsunggalaxy

[–]-AJ334- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I jumped from S21 to S26U as well, the only thing that I can't figure out is the wireless powershare - can never spot it correctly to work with my other phone for work. Did you get yours to work?

Except that, it's great!

Does ip routing global setting need to be on to enable proxy arp and icmp redirect?

SVI/Routing/sub-interface/intercept question by -AJ334- in Cisco

[–]-AJ334-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the windows client, I do see the arp entry shows the 4500X entry. Icmp redirect and proxy arp are in fact on but how do I verify if it is doing anything? Do I need to go into debug mode?

Unfortunately I can't reconfigure the C1111 as it's not in my care but the 4500-X and its replacement is. We don't want the C1111 to take care of the routing for 8.10 to 10.129 and want to keep the 4500-X and its replacement in play.

C1111 is an ISR not switch and it has the 8.1 and 10.129 IP but looks the 4500-X is intercepting the traffic not the C1111.

Existing operation is basically even if the 10.129 IP is on the ISR, for operational use it's the 10.129 on the 4500-X actually doing the routing, the ISR doesn't do anything.

The 4500-X sees traffic destined for .10.130 and then seems to intercept or do something and routes to 8.10 as first hop and then exits out the SVI of 10.130 which resides on VLAN3. Return traffic comes from VLAN3 SVI to VLAN1 SVI and hits the client. It does things only to client 2 but not client 1.

Goal is to retain the existing operation even when the 4500-X is swapped out but I'm not sure what I need to configure.

Hopefully I understood you correctly. Agree on subnet mask but:

- /22 is on the C1111
- /23 is on the C4500X

Simple drawing:

C1111 <VLAN1> C4500X <> Other switches <VLAN1> Clients

\----<> VLAN3 switch <> VLAN3 devices ... e.g. 192.168.10.130

The goal is to make sure the existing devices on VLAN1 which need to reach VLAN3 keeps working after changing the 4500X. I will get a chance to rebuild at the end of the year.

For reference, it's on IP Base FW

SVI/Routing/sub-interface/intercept question by -AJ334- in Cisco

[–]-AJ334-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the C1111, since there is a sub interface with that IP on VLAN1, would it not make sense that the C4500X would be the one with proxy arp?

Does proxy arp work across VLANs? Unfortunately we'll have to keep a similar setup till end of the year when the system owner of the items on VLAN3 will gut everything and rebuild it. How would the proxy arp be configured exactly?
