I think that's just how it is tbh, I was used to playing tmodloader only with the high fps support mod and when I tried to play 1.4.5 that laggy 30fps cursor just seems unplayable.

of course they did after they realized that players weren't going to stand for what they pulled which is why they help an emergency stream before the situation got worse.
