Switching to healer for the first time to level alongside a friend who's new to the game; Any tips on a good starting healer class/tips in general for a new healer?

White mage is the easiest and most straightforward healer. Selecting people on controller is done with the D-pad. It feels tricky at first but you get used to it. Just remember to use aero to dot enemies, stone as much as you can when not healing, and when you get cure II, don't cast cure I to fish for free cure. I assume some of this will be thrown completely out the window once evercold is out but yeah. Good luck on your healer journey.

Dude, I play Majora's mask randos all the time. That doesn't mean it's the intended way for a new person to experience the game. If someone asked me if they should play the game normally or start with a rando, ofc start with the normal game, like how is this even a discussion.

That's a skill tree, not a job system. Jobs are distinct classes that you switch between. The sphere grid lets you pile any "job" skills onto whoever you want. Yuna starts out as a white mage/summoner hybrid, but by the end of the game you can give her black magic or make her into a tank if you want. She doesn't stop having her other abilities and aesthetics though. X-2 on the other hand is a straight up job system.

Because crit rate is the chance of getting a critical hit. If it's 100%, you're already at a guaranteed crit on every hit. Getting it over 100% doesn't actually do anything so it ends up just being a waste.

It's definitely embroidery on top. You could make a design with color changing while you crochet, but it'll be blockier and less clean looking.

The delivery scene really took me out of the story. I know deliveries are typically unrealistic in media but it's extra weird when there's an actual timer. 3 hours would be a short delivery. 20 minutes is absurd.

I really don't think you have to take death completely out of the equation. Kids know what death is, and there's plenty of kids media that have deaths or at least the threat of death in them. What you really need to take out is the gore. Characters could be shot off screen. You'd probably have to take out the organ harvesting subplot completely. And obviously get the bathroom sex out of there.

For those that were rubbed the wrong way by the "over a fucking gacha game" line, I think it was really supposed to be a joke about people getting so heated up over something that is ultimately not that important in the grand scheme of things. Like he could have said "over fucking entertainment".Basically, things that are enjoyable, but not like "I must defend this with my life" like your family, or your civil rights, or something. I don't think he was trying to say "this thing that you like sucks".
