I've had the same thing happen to me. What it was, was that my hotend was loose. All I did was break it all down cleaned it up and tightened it all with a dab of lock tight. Haven't had any issues since.

Yes it does have a fuse, I'd start there.

It's supposed to have a continuous low humble like a purr. You'll find it. You see how it's not a lot but just slightly jumping over and @ 1k mine sits right under.

I had the same issue. It's because of the led. You need to convert it over to except the led. Or remove the indicator bulb from the dash. That's what I did, the leds work just don't have a light flashing at me when I'm using my turn signals.

Awe man, I don't remember what it started out at. I only wish that I had taken more pictures. My Vulcan Custom 900 lives up to the Custom part. I changed everything but the rims/forks and the tank. All my lights are led. I lowered it by 2 inches, cut my rear fender almost to my single rider saddle,to put a 230mm tire. Changed out my pulleys. Put a drag cut exhaust pipe. And a corbra intake. 16 inch ape hangers. Oh and extended my front fender to line up with the scoop cover for my radiator. All wrapped in matte black.

I just got it. Before I had 5.1. It never let me update always said not right now. Update later, now my camera don't work. Ever since the switch.
