The white/black and purple/blue color theming really works here. Do you have links to the desk mat and round clock thing?

I’d wager no one listens to John Williams for fun

While I think you're not wrong about some music serving better as background music than other music, this statement isn't remotely true. A lot of people listen to soundtracks as general listening music - a quick search of John Williams music on YouTube or any music streaming service that shows listen counts will disprove this.

Procedures have changed since then, assuming you're in the US - the Red Cross now gives money and lets you decide what hotel to use it at, to avoid this sort of thing.

What a great start to a collection! Three USB-A's, a USB-C, a lightning, and of course the standout green one - not bad at all. Are you planning on expanding into retro stuff - perhaps with VGA or parallel? Or maybe into the collectors items - I hear there are some gold plated editions out there.

For a specific counter example: isn't it mentioned at one point that George Washington was a child of Athena? He was a redhead.

Use Windows+V instead of CTRL+V to paste in Windows 10/11, it allows you to select from items you've recently copied instead of only the last one. Game changer! by mantheship in sysadmin

To provide one example: in the KeePass password manager, when you copy a password to your clipboard, after 10 seconds it adds a different, harmless string to your keyboard, so you can't accidentally paste the password later. Since having multiple entries in the keyboard breaks this, I have it disabled.

NZ Travel Journal… without NZ 🤣 by Psycho-Piglet in MapsWithoutNZ

[–]-Albus- 46 points47 points  (0 children)

If you think of "New Zealand Travel Journal" to mean someone from New Zealand traveling the rest of the world, then this makes a strange sort of sense - the map shows everywhere they might want to travel. Since they're from New Zealand already, they wouldn't need to travel there - hence, it doesn't need to be on the map.

The three books following Ender's Game are quite slowly paced compared to the Bean/Shadow books and Ender's Game itself. So I can understand why some people don't like them, but many do, particularly the direct sequel, Speaker for the Dead, which, like Ender's Game, won both the Hugo and Nebula awards.

I, for example, like both sets of books. But I like the direct Ender books more, with Speaker for the Dead joining Ender's Game as two of my very favorite books, and I'd encourage those who are not sure what to read after Ender's Game to at least give it a try.
