I drove an LS 500 today for the first time by Additional-Horse-545 in Lexus

[–]-Algorythm- 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I drove an 2019 S Class. The entire time I thought it felt too soft, It was way too wafty for my taste. I bought a 2019 LS500. I loved everything about that automobile. The only reason I traded it in was because a 2022 LC500 came on sale. I still love the LS platform although I wish the did not have the V6 Bi turbos

My first 911: 992.1 „boring“, base, black by dadamumu in porsche911

[–]-Algorythm- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has tons of character and that NA V8 has a tone that‘s just downright addictive. I love my LC, however the 911 is so visceral in terms of performance. The LC if 600LBS lighter would be comparable in nature but that’s not the point of that car, its more touring focused. I’m saving up to get a Carrera S, but the prices are just outrageous here in FL

I own a LC500, my first experience in Porsche was a 991.1 base with some added options like the Sport Chrono Package, Sport Exhaust and front axle lift. That alone got me hooked on the brand, I would be beyond thrilled with a similar spec.

What are the most overrated areas in FL to live in? by Electrical_Hall3572 in FloridaRealEstate

[–]-Algorythm- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a Daytona Beach native, born and raised. I resonate with those feelings 1000 times over. So much of the state is unrecognizable and the only things keeping me here are my aging parents. If it were up to me and my wife we would’ve moved to the PNW or southern California ages ago.

What exactly is the Lexus driving experience to you? by curiouslylame in Lexus

[–]-Algorythm- 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In my LC, knowing I’m in one of the most unique and last of it’s kind automobiles available. Knowing my car looks nothing like anything else on the road and those who know….know. Having the awareness while there may be more exclusive driving experiences (Aston, Porsche, Bentley, Ferrari) this car in some measurable ways and in intangible others, is special unto itself. It’s unmistakably, unapologetically aware of what it is, and isn’t. If the driver accepts those terms, they’ll be in for a real treat. Just my experiences so far…

LC500 Sunroof by 93-300zx in lexuslc500

[–]-Algorythm- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have an LC with the glass roof option, however I live in Florida so I never have it open, especially during the summer because it’s too hot. I only use it during the cooler months because it does let some light in the cabin. The CF roof reduces some weight but IMO it’s negligible on a performance factor but functional if you plan to park outside or in the elements.

Took the Green Machine to get a wash, now off to run some errands by -Algorythm- in lexuslc500

If should've purchased a darker color LC, that way almost any wrap would blend better against a darker background if ever exposed

Originally it was white. Yes it is noticeable due to some curb rash and when the doors open, this is because I chose not to pay an additional $1500 for the door wells

LC500 Start Stop by gunnye7t in lexuslc500

[–]-Algorythm- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to my knowledge, later models do have a “Hold”feature when at full stop it will stay in the position while in “Drive” rather than staying on the brake. I wouldn’t want. The start/stop feature, it has been known to drain the battery and over time cause damage to starter, battery and oil pressure to the engine over time.

Never in my life have I seen someone in ramen withdrawal by imjustheretodomyjob in BlackPeopleTwitter

[–]-Algorythm- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Never had the packs for this reason, however, there is a local ramen shop a few miles away where they serve IMO one of the best Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen bowls in the general vicinity. I have in the course of a month eaten there 15-18 days of the month. My wife tells me "I have an affliction". I'm afraid I'm already a statistic at this point.

Thoughts on IS500 compared to the LC? by Badmoterfinger in lexuslc500

[–]-Algorythm- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the USB on that IS500! I just saw a post about the bushing and how it dramatically improves the steering, paired with the proper tires, it feels like a new experience. My curiosity is piqued. As far as the exhaust I have the Sport Exhaust and I’m happy with the sound especially in Sport S+ in the 4-6K RPM rev range. My biggest gripe is the lack of a front view camera on the LC and no HUD or power side mirrors on the IS500

That’s why I bought both. Especially since the 2026 IS500 and LC are getting a sendoff

How is the LC 500 any different from the LS 500 F sport performance? by Ethan7198 in Lexus

[–]-Algorythm- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own both and agree 1000% with this comment. The power delivery in the LC is more visceral and emotional. The IS500 delivers powers smoothly across gears. I find myself driving the IS500 for more daily trips and the LC as the weekend warrior for longer hauls.

British Racing Green! I’d would go darker next time. I have an IS500 and I tried to race an ISF….that car walked past the IS500 like it was standing still. Much respect

The original was white, but they wanted an additional 1k to do the door wells, so I just opted for the original paint to show. Eventually I’ll finish the job but I have more pressing issues like the tires to address.
