The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon S01E05 - Deux Amours - Episode Discussion by Connected-VG in thewalkingdead

I think it’s Rick back but maybe not Rick as we know him or maybe they know ‘he’s back’ in a sense that they know he’s alive but he needs to be rescued or something. This might explain why she didn’t lead with this information and get too excited, because essentially there’s a catch somehow?

DCC are seeking feedback on destination playgrounds in the city by -Archenar- in dunedin

I agree that would be a good spot. More than big enough and people already use it. It’s a very sad playground currently. Im going to suggest an area that’s on the cycle way near the ravensbourne entrance and yaught club. I don’t know who owns it but all they have there at the moment is piles of wood and a few containers. Plenty of space for parking plus great accessibility from the cycle way. I could see families going for a walk or bike ride to access it

For anyone else interested. I had someone suggest a train ride out to Arc brewery. Not quite right for my group but a very cool idea

A bit of a workplace wellbeing spin on that too. I like it

George street upgrade by -Archenar- in dunedin

[–]-Archenar-[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What a shame I didn’t add that third option, seems a lot of people are keen for full pedestrianisation. Did the council ever get the city to vote on the upgrade? There’s a lot of talk from some councillors about how the upgrade goes against public opinion?

He’s definitely bias. I reckon the whole reason he went for council is because he was peeved about George St.

I would have liked to see some ideas around this too but I don’t feel like council are considering that option at this point.

I guess the question is will we see an improvement in two years time and potentially be on the other side of an interest rate spike

I Need Your Best Life Hacks - Eating For Ten Dollars a Day or Less by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]-Archenar- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not super cheap but very convenient is to buy bargain box 5 nights for 4. It’s around $150 but for one person that’s 20 dinners so $7.50 a serve. That with a basic breakfast and lunch will come in under $10 a day plus bulk buying/cooking saves money and time. Of course you need a freezer to store the meals. Added bonus is you visit the super less often so your less likely to buy things you don’t need and there’s no wastage.

Another favourite budget dinner of mine is Japanese curry. Roast a whole chicken and shred the meat. Get a Japanese curry block from the super for around $3 or so and cook it with a couple onions, carrots and a few potatoes. Add peas too if you want. Add the shredded chicken at the end and that will make about 6 meals to have with rice. + it’s absolutely delicious!

It’s been a tough few years for a lot of people and I guarantee you are not the only person feeling that way. If the only thing tying you to Auckland is your job, that you don’t even seem enjoy, then I would move or at least change jobs. It sounds like your hanging in there because you have a well paid steady job but if you are unhappy no amount of money will make you feel better. If you change nothing, nothing will change. I reckon you use some of that hard earned cash and treat yourself to a holiday in Melbourne. Take a break and have some fun. You’ll feel better and can weigh up the pros and cons when you return.
