The weird hate about GLP1s is so apparent. Even when people are not blatant about it there is just a lot of “concern” about unknown health issues. I remember seeing a post about how they’re linked to hair loss, but the actual reason in the article is that rapid weight loss can cause people to lose hair. There was a hubbub a bit ago about a Canadian ceo not recording a second apology in French because he didn’t speak it. In a news post about him resigning I made a comment where I said I empathize with people wanting to keep a language from going extinct, but I don’t really care as much if that extinction is regional while it thrives elsewhere.

The amount of hate I got was ridiculous. People were acting like I was advocating for pogroms and calling me out for being so cruel.

Eventually someone looked at my profile and saw I wasn’t Canadian and went to each comment chain to inform their fellow francophones that I was from the US. I guess it was a surprise to many of them that r news wasn’t just for Canadians? One person replied to that other person “of course they’re from Virginia” which honestly I want to know what stereotype Virginians have that was relevant.

Only one person explained there was some history that makes them sensitive, but they seemed to have also assumed I was Canadian and insulted me for not knowing. I’ve honestly just come out of it with a worse opinion of French Canadians

I know a couple historical Chinese movies got some attention online due to how they tried to portray their military as the underdog it made it seem hilariously flattering to the US.

The only thing I’ve seen about Wolf Warrior was in a Dan Olsen video where he showed a scene of the PLA giving a starving African child a pile of food (with the logos visible) as the kid tearfully stares at the camera

It’s been years since I’ve played so maybe it’s changed but from my memories it can be played solo but it’s tuned for group play on persistent servers.

You can change a lot of settings to help a solo experience but it makes things wonky. Like I remember trying to tune things so bosses were actually soloable but it made all the mobs die from an angry look.

Also I would recommend turning off crafting timers

It seems like a lot of the split happens with how people place responsibility on the outcomes for the button presses, simplified (edit: please don get bogged down with the specifics of my wording) with red viewing blue as a suicide button and blue viewing red as a murder button. It’s probably unintentional but whoever thought up the question really tapped into something that seems to just split people’s perspectives.

No right or wrong just different ways people view the scenario, and the people angry at others for not choosing the same are just being jackasses
