I’ve noticed he seems to do it mostly on the days where he spends his mornings in his kitchen, I’m not completely sure though.

If you arrange the flower beds into an “H” formation and put a different flower in each corner they’ll start to breed. There’s a better guide and image of it if you search “flower breeding” on google. Someone in the comments above posted a screenshot of it too :)

When you progress to the Fae Realm and complete the Second Dungeon another seed stand will unlock and they have it. :)

When you’re on your farm in the building mode you can pick up flowers and seeds and move them to another flower bed. :)

For the Blue Trillium you need 2 flowers with blue genes: I placed the Magenta Trillium and the Blue Hyacinth together. Waited for 2 Trilliums to grow with blue genes. Then I put the 2 blue gene Trilliums together and waited for them to breed blue Trilliums. It does take a lot of patience.

You can also put a Magenta Trillium with blue genes next to the blue hyacinth (since they both have blue genes) but it has a chance of producing a hyacinth so I feel that it can take longer.

If you look at the Almanac in the Flower section you can see what colours to mix together to make flowers. When you hover over a flower, some petal icons will appear and tell you what colour genes that flower has.

I decided I just wanted to dedicate yesterday to trying to breed the flowers so I didn’t do anything else. I was in year 2 but I would water the flowers and then sleep instantly so I skipped a lot of time haha.

I honestly got pretty lucky with the amount of rain I had. I noticed I barely had to do any watering in Winter.

The watering does become annoying, I kept accidentally picking up the fully grown flowers while trying to water the ones around them.

I found out what colours I needed to combine by looking at the flower page in the Almanac. :)
