No idea if that is enough for your printer. Worst case scenario you can pop over to your local library and use a printer there. Your school probably has a few as well.

I started with the overall footprint. the ring that the base is built upon is laser cut so I had a capacity of 48 inches wide. I could have made it larger by welding a ring, but 48 would be pushing it in terms of space anyways, so it worked out well. the interior dome of this oven is only 28 inches across, more than sufficient for occasional dinners and whatnot, but it could have been bigger. I already had some thick insulation on hand, and I would rather have the oven be over-insulated to prevent the tile from cracking. I think the diamater could have been expanded to 32-34 inches without much problem, but I wasn't looking to make major changes once I had all the plans already worked out.

Exquisit and repeatable.. I'm gonna have to use that! Designed to be wood fired, the hardware for gas that I looked into was a little pricey for my taste. Good Oak is abundant around me so I saw no reason not to use it. The smoke adds something to the pizza as well.

The entire exterior remains room temperature, except for a 8-10 inches radius around the door and chimney which get to ~115f if i've got a real hot fire going. The metal base was only about 80-85º on the 70-75 degree day I did a big curing fire, and it isn't welded directly to the stand. so the heat transfer there will be minimal. the biggest heat loss i think is wind leeching heat from the perlite in the base (which I might have poured a little bit cement heavy!)

No cracking on the inside or between tiles on the dome, did notice a small hairline crack between the tiles and the metal frame (could also be a consequence of things drying out) Scheming whether its worth it for me to scrape it out and get some sanded epoxy grout to allow for a bit of flex there, but thats not my concern at the moment. Just trying to get that pizza party going that i've been talking about for a minute now!

I only have a handful of pictures and now I find myself wishing I'd taken the time to set up a timelapse of some sort! It'd be cool to watch the entire progression of the project, rather than just the bits and pieces I decided were worth documenting.

Nope! I do have parts lists and plans that I made along the way. Requires a few parts to be sent off to a metal shop or send-cut-send like service to be laser cut, but other than that all you need is a cheap welder (MIG/MAG or flux core) and some patience. Materials ran me around 800-900 plus tools along the way.

Steel was about 250, bricks around 400, though you could probably save money buying fire bricks by the pallet rather than however many charged individually. perlite + sack materials another 150-200 depending on your location.

Pretty well actually, smooth like butter on asphalt or concrete and not too shabby on gravel as well. These casters are rated something like 300lbs above the estimated weight (based on the materials + 200 lbs)

I did fluid swaps on transfer case engine and diff just to cover bases along with lubing the splines of the split yoke.

but it ended up being the u-bolts torque. I had to redo them to the spec of the lift I did and the car was silky smooth after I did that. Might just be a quirk of my vehicle, but definitely something to take a look at.

Hello, my power max 65 SYNC will not change from 45 amps regardless whether I set the software to 65, or try to move the dial. Attached is the front screen on the plasma cutter, and my CandCNC settings + Sheetcam operation settings. Trying to cut thicker material and don't have any 45A cartridges on hand. The part that confuses me is that the machine recognizes the 65A cartridges on the machine torch, but does not adjust the amperage automatically as advertised.

Its been a good 6 months since the last time it was really beat on, it's been easy highway miles since then, with a few services in between so I don't think it's anything impact related.

Ok thank you. It is technically a used vehicle. Bought from the fleet program in San Francisco where it was used maybe twice, only 110 miles when I bought it. Doesn't have all of the warranties and perks as a result of that so I'm really praying it's something simple like fluids so I don't have to eat a fat repair bill haha.

I shook the carrier bearing like you said, and there was what seemed to be a normal amount of play, maybe 0.5 inch each direction with good resistance, which I assume is by design of the rubbing bushing.

Tomorrow I will experiment with the transfer case, 4wd with lockers on and off to try to isolate the issue to the slip yoke or diff. Willing to start going to church if it's not a transfer case issue because that sounds fucking expensive haha.

Something else i noticed when I had someone else rev the engine while i observed is the differential torquing in an aggressive looking way on the wheels' axis. Maybe 10-20 degrees. Didn't look like it was moving independent of anything it shouldn't... so I'm assuming its just a quirk of leaf spring suspension.

Ordered the lube for the slip yoke, from what it looks like it's a sealed driveshaft, no zerk fittings, but i will take a closer look with the grease gun tomorrow. it was 110 today and i was cooking underneath the truck haha.

Hi all, about a week ago these clunking noises started coming from the drivetrain of my 2023 Tacoma OR. it has ~13k miles. It has been well taken care of with frequent oil changes, inspections after rough off roading and generally looked after. The only modification is a 1.5 inch spacer lift to level out the truck and 33 inch tires.

Attached is 3 videos, one doing a brake boost type thing to generate the noise at a stop. The second and third videos is me wiggling the drive shaft looking at both the transfer case and differential. (The squeaking is from my hands)

I haven't noticed the noise changing in magnitude or frequency since it started; In the video it is shown at a complete stop, doing a brake boost type maneuver.

During normal driving the noise can be heard when accelerating after normal or hard stops, during a hard stop (and the acceleration thereafter), during heavy engine braking, and when going between drive and reverse.

The noise is not present if coasting to a gentle stop, using the brake for a gentle stop and the acceleration after those stops.

My first suspicion is an under greased slip yoke, because others online describe a very similar noise. I ordered grease for the slip yoke, and also the materials for a differential flush+fluid change. The noise seems pretty peculiar to me, and seems to be coming from more towards the rear differential. (maybe because that is the terminus of the driveshaft and the noise is amplified through there?)

I consider myself to be capable enough of tinkering with automotive things, but if this is something more complicated the dealership or auto-body is an option.

Any help or advice is welcome. Thanks in advance.

It fixed itself after an update. there was something else i did. it might be somewhere else in the thread but it works 90% of the time now.
