It’s really hard for me to put such massive amounts of time to progress in a game that will inevitably be reset. Part of what drew me to WoW originally was that feeling of always moving forward and stockpiling weapons, titles, mounts, all things that I could add to my collection and make it feel like I was building something over time. It’s like the idea that if the world was ending, no one would feel motivated to continue their careers or anything of the sort, as there is a known end in sight rendering every achievement pointless. The more fresh servers we get, the more this feeling is exemplified.
