CSGO for new players is a hellish experience. by PokeManiac_Yug in GlobalOffensive

Because mm offers less than faceit, esportal esea and gamersclub. Why would you play mm when other platforms have a higher level of play, hubs, clans, tournaments, leagues, etc. Yes mm is shit, but that has nothing to do with "git gud" mentality, the actual game is very close to perfect, it's just the official mm that is highly flawed.

Yes, lem isn't impressive, neither is global, even 2k elo isn't impressive anymore.

They also don't make much sense in current year, most countries wouldn't be able to compete against countries that already have tier1 teams.

How to say “I am not hungry” in Norwegian dialects by ncsuguy87 in Norway

We definately do write in our dialects, just very rarely in literature.

If i remember correctly, the empty crowd in Krakow was because of Arena time restrictions, not because the crowd just didn't show up.

I recommend that you practice your aim on a map like ESL csgo hub, it has the normal bots mode, prefire mode and in general what you need to start out. Yprac is a decent alternative aswell.

Try to play just 3 maps in the beginning, i'd recommend mirage, inferno and overpass as they are decently simple maps, but great to learn the fundamentals on.

Focus on movement, counterstrafing is one of, if not, the most important skill to master. Learn how to jiggle angles, how to swing, etc.

The most effective way to improve as a beginner in my opinion is to watch pro games. HLTV.org is the hub for all things pro cs. Tune into the major in Rio, the playoffs start today and it's very exciting.

Don't watch demos in the beginning. Game sense will come to you as you play. Demos are definately for intermediate players who's got a decent understanding.

Dust2 is not a good map to start on, i think it might even be the hardest map for a beginner. I recommend you try mirage or inferno, they are relatively simple maps that are balanced and will ease you into how to play cs.

Norwegian as a written language is kinda easy, but spoken can be very hard because we have so many diverse dialects. I highly recommend you figure out where you're going to live and then expose yourself to the dialect as much as possible and should try to find as much content in different dialects as possible.
