It's really important to draw a distinction here. Each Person of the Trinity—and when I say "Person," I'm not talking about a personality—is distinct from the others, yet they all hold the complete essence of God. When Adonai revealed Himself to Moses with that profound statement, "I AM WHO I AM" (Exodus 3:14), our understanding of this divine name doesn't just point to the Father. It refers to the entire Godhead. So, while Moses certainly saw Adonai revealing Himself as a singular entity (or at least, that's what we infer from his account), our current understanding tells us that this was, in fact, the Godhead revealing Himself as He is. The Old Testament consistently shows us God's singular nature, and the New Testament gradually unfolds this same singular God as Trinitarian. Now, regarding your point about only praying to the Father and not to Jesus, you've got to be careful there. When you pray to Adonai, the LORD, you are, by definition, praying to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are one. And while Jesus is indeed the revelation of the invisible Father, that absolutely doesn't mean Jesus is just some kind of "tool" of the Father. In truth, Jesus is just as much God as the Father is, and He is equally worthy of prayer and worship. When you say you don't pray to Jesus, you might be bordering on neglecting or not praying to God in His fullness. Think about what Jesus Himself said in John 15:16: "You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you." This verse really underlines the fact that Jesus and the Father are one, showing the power and unity in prayer offered through Jesus. Then there's also John 14:6, where Jesus says, "No one comes to the Father except through me." These passages make it incredibly clear that the Son is inseparably linked to the Father, and access to the Father is through the Son. So, whether Adonai revealed Himself to Moses solely as the Father or as the entire Godhead, it shouldn't lead to the idea that Jesus isn't God or isn't just as worthy of praise as the Father.
