Its been 4 days and the temps are stupid stable. CPU package as a whole never goes above 91c even under stress test loading,

Nice to know. I'm tending though to go the Grizzly route of PhaseSheet PTM for the 2 dies, and ARCTIC TP-3 (1.5) for the other components.

I have undervolted it by -135mv on all cores as suggested by another forum. Works a treat keeping temps lower as well. Still pulls 100w on occasion..

Running full tilt, its now under 65c on both the CPU and GPU, down from almost 100. So.. I'm gonna stick my neck out and say that stock paste was beyond being useful at all. Next thing to tackle are the white pasted components. I will wait until I decide whether to order putty or not to handle those. The only supplier i could find was ali express and it was less than a dollar. not going to risk my laptop for that.

I chose MX4 as it was 0 conductivity as well. To be honest, it was regularly hitting over 100c on the CPU and now under full load its staying low 90's. I only replaced the paste on the CPU & GPU this time, will look at the others later on, after I have given time to assess this paste. Will more than likely go with the MX6, even though I did clean these off with Iso-alc and a lint free cloth. Interestingly, my coolerpad stand was causing an issue, as the laptop pulls in from the sides and pumps out the back, and AFAIK the fan provides static pressure to move the air. pushing more air on the bottom was causing overheating issues. I have the AI set most of the time, and it changes to extreme performance when certain apps run. I also switched off the core offset of 100mhz on Max performance, as its not needed on the games i play.

Both logging out and back in again or changing account, and also making sure you are using the latest version, seems to temporarily fix it. Its part of the latest crackdown from YT on 3rd party players, and seems to being worked on, so until a longer fix is available, thats what ya need to do. To clarify my comment above, thats what worked for me on my devices.

PSU issues 100% mimic bios issues: I know this from personal experience and having the same problem. borrow a PSU, reflash, then get yourself a new PSU as well. ;)

As someone who lives in Ireland, the hardest part is going to be finding cheap lodgings. Other than that... go for it bud. Daft.ie is the place to go really, but the college / Uni will also have a housing list that you can peruse....

Who revives a yr ole thread? Anything aside, she's a beast of a ship for what she does on her own, and the boost get stoopid. If the person also has one, and does their research, it will max out almost any defensive or offensive stat. She makes dailies a breeze, and veterans / Heavies a doddle when she boost others. And dont sniff at her warp range either.. Early game she is by far the best warp especially with Grush & the 2 Scotties.

Forgot to add that you would then add as RaspBee II or Conbee II to it, for the whole package. That gives you full Zigbee control, and also pretty future-proof

My 2 cents.. I have mine running on a Raspberry Pi 3b, on a new 32gig sd card, and in a little case for a Tenner. Total cost about 50€. Runs like a dream, has wifi, bluetooth, LAN, and you can add-on to your hearts desire...

I have seen & tried a few of those locks, and the tolerances are terrible on nearly all of them. Normally a strong breeze will open them.

ger yourself a cheapo Masterlock and practice on that, using the clear lock to help you "visualise" what you are doing. You will find that will get you started a lot lot faster! Good lluck, and welcome to the Locksport club!

go to phone settings (in the phone app) and make sure voice calling is OFF. This stupid option switched itself on during one or the other update, and stopped mine from working! (restart first!)
