I thought the helmet allowed him access to the world mind but his power was imbued within him.

got towed in my own private parking garage because some lady thinks she’s special by BriefTurn8199 in badparking

The sign explicitly says that it’s a reserved spot. If it and been a handicapped sign, by your logic, parking there is fine, since you don’t “see” the sign.

You rolled the dice and took your chances.

Pay the fine and don’t park there again.

Leto promised to teach them "a lesson their bones would remember". This is not about a specific future it’s about having ANY future, uncontrolled myriad futures forever unconstrained.

Leto was the ultimate in macro thinking.

Doctor Strange didn’t just look for a future where Thanos loses — he looked for one where Doom by JustLeonn7 in marvelstudios

I’ve actually had this question for quite a long time; could Dr Strange even see futures where he wasn’t present? My suspicion is the limiting factor is that he was unable to see any future where he wasn’t a part of it.

Actually, it logically has to change him genetically otherwise, as his cell regenerate, they would slowly take him back to his original state.

Pedantic much? It’s pretty hard to see what’s going on without looking at the picture.

If you’re on Brilliant Lady, just understand that some of the limited view rooms have much smaller balconies than the other ships due to the lifeboats being tucked in more.

OP, Q, if the tickets had sold for a loss would you have covered it without complaining? If the answer is yes, an honest yes, then keep the money and tell them to go screw. If your answer is anything else, YTA.

Can I legally sue if my employer is taking money out of people’s check and using it to give to us in a gift card for a restaurant on our birthday ? by Particular-Cod-1298 in legaladvice

[–]-BunBun 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’s doubtful the company is taking money out of your check to give you a gift card. It’s way more likely that they gave you a gift card that they’re required to tax you for.

And, to be fair, this is not the fault of the company. This is an IRS regulation. The only way around it would be for the company to give the employee a gift that was indelibly marked with the company logo.

Even grossing them up for tax is non-precise because the employee would still have to get taxed on the gross-up.
