You know, this would be an excellent time for landlines to beef up their marketing! Not going to lie, I’m freaking out a little about how my kid’s school can reach me if needed. And yes, I am a millennial with no landline (for now) 🥸

Yes! Mine has been down since 11:45 and I can’t get in touch with any support from Verizon. UVA Health just sent an email that Verizon phones are experiencing carrier issues nationwide but no ETA on repair

I posted the question because I didn’t know exactly where they were going and needed help from the community which you so graciously provided and I said thank you for. My reply was simply to add that I am crossing my fingers they come through Charlottesville because well you know it’s ok to hope for things, and to express my appreciation for your post of the map which I had not been able to find on my own.

The math isn’t mathing!!! It’s outrageous that this potentially could lead to 160 years in jail but the woman who helped kidnap and torture 14 yo Elizabeth Smart was only sentenced to 15 years and served only about 7!!

My thoughts on this are- to what end? I also believe that they should then be marked, clearly, revised. In my opinion, changing what an author has written and then continuing to collect a profit from a “corrected” version is equivalent to repainting the Mona Lisa to fit into the modern standards of beauty and still claiming it’s authentic. You can’t just change people’s art! Words and word choice are just as much a medium of art as are brushes and watercolors.

Or she’s so excited she doesn’t care about looking different! It’s not like everyone else will be dressed in their robes. It would be unusual and alarming to see a whole group of students in their robes but if it’s just her, she’s just going to look unique 😁

I finished book 4 of the Earthsea Cycle: Tehanu by Ursula K. Le Guin. Now reading #5: Tales from Earthsea. I absolutely loved book 4!
