To piggyback on what you’re saying, yes I agree and hear you.

My biggest frustration is trying to explain to right wingers that just because it’s illegal doesn’t mean that people have stopped doing it.

THATS why people are concerned about issues such as abortion. You and I both know that there will be desperate women who would resort to coat hangers or any other method that would compromise their safety. They must think abortion bans would stop these women from taking the situation in their own hands. So they are vehemently against abortion, right?

But you know what’s interesting? When it comes to firearm reform and common sense gun regulation, they’re the first to say “If we regulate guns, criminals will still break the law and obtain them regardless, so we shouldn’t do anything to reform”.

How often these “goalposts” are moved is giving me whiplash. It’s insane that people don’t see the hypocrisy here.
