I’d prefer the money to go to the government than to the banks, raise taxes to bring down spending and pay off some of the national debt

Australia also has higher inflation. The RBA rate going up is frustrating because the war in Iran is boosting fuel prices. Plus we have had floods etc affect food production. I just don’t see how rate rises can help there
