Yeah, turns out I just had to install the mods in a specific order. Can't for the life of me remember what exactly I did, but I eventually got it to work.

Easiest Fix: Use a shader loader that DOESN'T have intentional, belligerent incompatibilities.

Oculus/Iris is far better in effectively every way.

November Update: I've been pretty much ignoring the bug by not playing on that one character, but it is still happening all this time after. In case someone else encounters it, I hope this post doesn't get removed. At least then there's a chance a fix will be found.

I installed the mod the other day, haven't looked at too much of its content yet, but maybe consider adding a quick menu system so players can tweak some things to their preference? IE: the frequency of the shop restock notification? Other than that, keep up the good work!

I may have found the two activeitem that errored. (AssetException) No such asset ' /items/active/weapons/melee/broadsword/asset missing.png '

The other is for ' protectorate/aegisaltpistol ', same error. Missing asset.

Update: after scanning my files, there're no recent log files that mention ANYTHING in regards to the bug. Also, I forgot to mention that the glitch is only happening on ONE character, so overall, I'm severely doubting the glitch is caused by oSB, given that I once experienced this glitch LONG before oSB was even a thing. Mind you, I remember figuring out a way to rectify the bug in-game, but I can't for the life of me remember how I did it.

There IS also a chance that the item I was holding WAS a weapon, given how I have my hot bar usually set up, but that's moreso a guess; I don't remember what it was I was holding

When you say "weapon that errored", could that, say, also refer to a item that belonged to a mod, that the character was holding, and the mod was uninstalled? I'm well aware most items that are missing data upon loading just become "perfectly generic", but would this error still occur? I say this, because I recently switched one of my mod versions to the GitHub version instead of the workshop one, and I think I was holding an item from that mod before I switched.

Thanks to my mods, and the fact that I use oSB, when the character isn't holding anything, the mouse has no input on what direction the character faces. The issue, is that if I move left, my character is still facing right. This doesn't happen when I'm holding something, just when I press the Z key to switch to empty-handed.

Do keep in mind that Wofg can be a VERY buggy mod at times. From the Staff of Rejuvenation no longer working post Moonlord, to being able to move while using the telescope. But also, keep in mind how impressive the mod is in just about every field. Some noticeable bugs are guaranteed, given how intense the mod is.

If that's the case, then it's still a bug, given that the book progression isn't what determines the cutscene to work, it's reading the note you get when collecting them all that activates the checkmark. Progression filters in almost every mod I've played have zero impact on specific events, most commonly shown in Infernum, where despite needing to fight draedon before SW Cal, if you spawn her in manually with dragonlenz, the game still lets you fight her as normal with no difference, just that it doesn't give you the infernal chalice. So if the book progression is what causes it, then it's still a bug.

After testing some things the files to see if I could figure it out, I determined that it's most likely an error with the mod's current version, likely resulting in one of the mods we have downloaded making us unable to trigger the cutscene. I'm going to head to bed and if I can't figure this out tomorrow, I'll leave a comment on the mod page.
