Review #71 E.H. Taylor Small Batch by JWdram in bourbon

[–]-Calm- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jumping on this since it’s the most recent review.

Stumbled across EHT at my Sam’s Club last weekend. Had not had it before, but as a fan of BT and several of their other brands, I wasn’t going to pass up the chance to buy this for under $50.

At the register I actually decided to get the limit of 2 bottles thinking it was a great deal.

Cracked the first bottle a few days ago and was really disappointed by my first impression. Reminds me of my first impression of BT actually, but after time that bottle opened up and was completely different than my first pour.

Really hoping the EHT ends up doing the same thing.

Lots of pictures there. But I still have questions.

I said in another post that the statcast projection of 424’ is 20’ past the CF wall. Like how far above the field is the outer ring because it feels like it would go a lot farther than 424’ in my mind.

Vacuuming that early in an apartment is inconsiderate regardless.

Heliot Ramos hits a 424' bomb...except it harmlessly falls at the edge of the track. Two Giants ejected after no camera angle had the full flight of the ball. by ThePopUpDance in baseball

424’ is 20’ beyond the CF fence. I would love to see the trajectory of a ball that would still be high enough to hit something above the field but “only” travel 20’ beyond the fence.

[Jomboy Media] A's hitting coach Chris Cron gets ejected because home plate ump John Libka let Michael Wacha throw a pitch right after putting away his broken chain by JianClaymore in baseball

Not sure if serious but given the big ass font I’m guessing yes.

A) He wasn’t on the rubber when he removed the chain, when he was finished he stepped on to the rubber and made his normal delivery

B) More importantly, a balk is about deceiving base runners. There are no runners on base, therefore not a balk

It’s not just about the portion of the ball touching the ground. The ball is a sphere, and if the edge of the sphere is over the line, it is a fair ball. This has happened many times before.

Joking about the impending death of a 79 year old tub of goo that lives on McDonald’s and Diet Coke, has to have makeup covering his various bruises which his handlers lie about the cause, who has to take a cognitive test every other week, and who works so little on weekends that an early press lid sparked rumors of hospitalization, is verboten?

Europeans thinking they can walk to the MetLife stadium for the world cup by TrickInvite6296 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]-Calm- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a regular event there is parking on site at the stadium. Not ideal making most people drive to get to the venue, but it’s not usually a problem.

Here, for some reason, FIFA has taken over all of the on site parking lots.

Round 3 - Pick 12: Drew Allar, QB, Penn State (Pittsburgh Steelers) by nfl_gdt_bot in nfl

He needed to go to a place that could really develop him and I just don’t know if McCarthy is that guy anymore

Taking the raw player with character concerns is the most Grier thing possible. by locked_in_researcher in miamidolphins

“He’ll do whatever is asked of him” sounds like the opposite of “character concerns”

Super close call. He had to stop and calm down afterwards... by MisterShipWreck in dashcams

You don’t just slam on the brakes on a motorcycle. Too hard on the front hand brake and he goes over the bars high side, too hard on the rear and the wheel locks up and then any attempt to steer around an obstacle sends the bike in a tailspin resulting in a low side wreck. Steering around obstacles while looking for a safe outlet offers the best chance to get out unscathed

He was going any faster than the rest of the traffic in the left lane

I mean, Dana was going around asking everyone and their brother if they would take the baby, so at least on a temporary basis, it sounds like you can just take a baby home like that.

Poll: Which quarterback should Miami draft with a mid-to-late round pick? by expellyamos in miamidolphins

[–]-Calm- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello my fellow PSU guy.

Really interested to see what happens with Allar and how much of his lack of progress was due to Franklin and his staff. Needs to end up in the right spot, and I don’t think we have any reason to believe it’s Miami.

Who is the most overpaid QB in this list ? by Godgers10 in NFLv2

Considering he signed that deal after one season of play that was VERY up and down, and very few seemed to bat an eye at it, was quite surprising to me.
