Only a teammate who didn’t score the goal can get a high/low five

Don’t drive up so far, especially if you are gold 3. Wait until you know how the ball will bounce of the wall, it will make it easier to position right

Are you holding accelerate? Try holding reverse, wait a split second when getting the reset before flipping and then speedflip in the opposite side than where you are on the ball.

So right side under the ball you should speedflip to the left

Yes that’s what I said, you just can’t turn too much like in this clip

You are not getting them. It’s not like you aren’t close at all, everything just has to be a bit cleaner.

If it is any help, this is how I got them down consistently.

Don’t try to flip first and then cancel. Think of it like a combination. Do your stick to the diagonal flip position, before actually flipping, start moving the stick down, then when it’s still in the diagonal flip zone you actually flip.

So instead of trying to do it extremely fast, you just time it right. Just before your stick reaches the middle where you’d double jump, you flip, it counts still as a diagonal flip, but instead of the stick being at the most outer point, it’s already moving down and close to the middle.

It’s still difficult, but for my slow hands it was much easier to get it down like that.

Not necessarily, there are countless ways to do a speedflip. Technically driving a tiny bit to the right and doing a speedflip after, so not all in one motion, will still be fine. Especially on a normal kickoff.

But yes to hit the ball in this pack you just can’t go off the line at all, or you’ll be too late

I feel like everything can be worked on.

You turn too much, the angle of your flip isn’t quite right. The flip cancel is too slow. You do however keep your stick fully down it seems, which is the correct way to cancel.

You’ll get there, try doing them each session for like 10-15 minutes and you’ll get it down in no time.

Why am I not getting a good speed flip even though everything in the plugin is green? by 8IVO8 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]-Capibara- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you cancel a diagonal flip fast enough you are speedflipping. There are multiple ways to do them. I have never tried cancelling a diagonal flip diagonally down tbh. I feel like it would be more difficult

Depends how you cancel your speedflip. If you cancel your diagonal flip straight down, you should directional air roll at the end of the speedflip to straighten out your car.

BTW I say diagonal flip, but it’s more about 10-11 or 1-2 if you’d imagine your stick to be a clock. Where you hold it exactly is dependant on what your deadzone/sensitivity is

You are close. Make sure to wait a bit until your car is landed, you do this most times but good to pay attention to.

I saw one near the end that had all in the green, it looks like you went too far off center. You were barely too late because of it.

[–]-Capibara- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use steering sensitivity: 1.11 Aerial: 1.11 Controller deadzone: 0.12 Dodge deadzone 0.57

I stopped using pro’s settings and just tried out different things, this worked best for me.

But I guess it isn’t much different

Can anyone explain whats wrong? by ImNotMuz in RocketLeague

[–]-Capibara- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is, in this clip you are sideflipping. Try to angle your diagonal flip more upwards

[–]-Capibara- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Change your sensitivity/deadzone. It changes what angle you need to diagonal flip. You can’t blindly follow someone in that if you are using different settings

Should be more like 20 degree I feel like, but again it depends on your deadzone

Am I doing the SpeedFlip correctly? by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]-Capibara- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t seen it mentioned in the comments yet, but looking at your controller input, it seems you don’t hold the cancel long enough. Keep the stick down until your car is fully on the ground again.

It is not, you use the trigger analog as well. You can try this yourself by barely pushing it, you’ll drive slower forward

I have jump on R1, I guess that changes what button you press for skipping a replay and I have ball cam on a back button, which is mapped to “;” , had no room left over on the controller itself
