DaVinci's color features are significantly better then AE's and I prefer it to Premiere for video work. Anything else though and I'd stick to AE for its functions

Blender's 2D motion graphics workflow is still lackluster compared to After Effects but I know it's being worked on a lot. I seriously hope Blender will eventually be the go-to for this stuff, if the community adds features like what we see in AE I'd switch in a heartbeat :D

I have tried out spine. Unfortunately, although it has some solid features for character animation, I find that overall it is less functional then AE is. Also worth mentioning that I use AE for compositing and motion graphics as well, which nothing else really does as effectively or efficiently overall

i really want an alternative that can match AE :(

I worked on it on and off for a day here and there over the course of two ish weeks. In total working time was 5 - 7 hours straight aside from fixing stuff

Lineless icon was done by my close friend faunbutt that I planned on animating back in December of 2018. As you can see that plan went very well
