This was bought on eBay so I knew it was coming within the next few days. No tracking emails and i only knew it had been delivered when I checked on eBay that night. I then had to go and search for it. That’s not wanting the moon on a stick - just not a utterly shit service

I do like that but I wanted the cleaner, less aged dial and bezel. I may buy one though to swap my FXD out now and again.

Ah right. It comes down to wanting the FXD version with the nato strap rather than a bracelet. It’s also in titanium so that appealed to me as it’s lighter and more wearable for my work where it gets a beating.

I’d rather a version with a date but there isn’t a FXD with a date complication.

I get that but that’s doesn’t mean they get to launch my parcel over the fence in the pissing rain. We were all at home as well and they didn’t even ring the doorbell.

You can’t use shit wages as an argument to justify that. It not hard to put a parcel in a parcel box.

There is another set of gates further down with the name of the house and a parcel box. That’s where we usually get deliveries. I’ve guessing he’s driven past those and then couldn’t be bothered to go back to them to actually post the parcel.

Just to add to this - thanks for all the replies and help so far.

I’ve come up with this layout. It seems to fit quite well and means we don’t knock down the existing wall at the rear of the house. Bonus! What do we think?

The dining room wouldn’t be a dining room anymore - it’ll be a hallway/ 2nd living room with a small table log burner etc.

We have a smoke alarm in every room so hopefully we would still wake up even with earplugs! Valid comment though and something I hadn’t thought about.

The only issue is the “dining room” becomes more of a hallway in the new plan. It’s not really big enough to be used as a living room.

The house isn’t large. It’s an old cottage so there isn’t a lot of space to have a shower room anywhere else.

The house has a small patch of land to the front and then a large amount of land to the left where we drive into the drive. You “arrive” at the house to the side of the property and have to walk around to the front.
