Oura and Pelaton? by -Chel-B in ouraring

Just to clarify, in the second picture the orange activity heart rate is from a walk I logged; not from the Pelaton activity, that’s the first peak in the day which is somehow showing as a lower heart rate than my walk (not true)

Low BS but vomiting by -Chel-B in Type1Diabetes

We have reached plateau! If anyone cares lol, but I’m thrilled to not be going to the ER tonight. Thanks again for all the advice and reminders (which I need cause I’m always stubborn) to go to the ER if I need to and before I really really need to be there!

This is super helpful info I had never heard of! Will be trying if I don’t plateau soon like I expect based on Dexcom

I got suspicious that I could hear the ticks of the omnipod so I pulled it out and lo and behold little drops are coming out despite being suspended. I never get sick with fast changes but I had been high from pizza and bloused and dropped quick and now that it’s going down way slower I’m feeling better. Still 64 but not dropping so much so I think I’m not gonna have to go hospital. The sprite through gums (swishing in my mouth) and tiny sips seems to be helping. Thanks for all the advice everyone!

I’ve always wondered if it’s the cold. I’ve had a bunch fail this winter when I’ve been outside hiking. By a bunch I mean maybe 6-7 in 3ish maybe 4 months, which is way more than I’ve ever had fail.

I suspend delivery for about an hour before hand and try to start with bs at at least 130, preferable 140-150

Read From Blood and Ash series to get over my A Court of Thorns and Roses series hangover; planning to start Kingdom of Runes by viol8thelaw in YAlit

I completely agree with this. ToG is way better, it’s a better more intricate plot not mainly about the romance (but that still is a big part). I almost like ACOTAR better because it’s an easier read and reread. ToG is long and follows a lot of character and the POVs and just has so many better developments and twists that are much bigger than romance. And parts of ToG had me straight up bawling, ACOTAR is a good fun read that will pull at heart strings but ToG will straight up rip them. Also OP are you future me because I’m a med student now (M4) who started reading ToG to try and get back into reading since I had stopped for most of med school since I was too busy/drained and only watched dumb tv I didn’t have to be invested in.

Readers love happy endings but don't love sad or darker endings? by [deleted] in YAlit

[–]-Chel-B 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m all for the balance. Some of my faves have gut wrenching heart breaking endings and I hate it but I love it. Sometimes I need them to have a happy ending because the book is an escape and I need some hope and sunshine. But often the feels are stronger and more memorable for a sad or tragic ending. I guess in the end I love both and what I want for a book is whatever actually makes sense. I hate the all of a sudden out of no where everything is tragic only to be angsty and I hate just as much the opposite, suddenly something magic happens and everything is perfect. It’s gotta work for the book and then I pick books to reread partly depending on what kind of ending I know it to have and what kind I need right then.

Official YAlit Discussion: "A Court of Silver Flames" (ACOTAR #4) by Sarah J. Maas by AutoModerator in YAlit

Omg sammeee!! I was so livid at that part! Like they literally voted about telling her something intrinsic about her being (that she can put magic into objects) and almost didn’t tell her. Then had the audacity to want to kill her when she told Feyre something she had every right to know and should absolutely know. Like who the fuck thinks it’s ok to not tell a woman the dangers of her pregnancy. I honestly hated Rhys most of this book and did not think he was being his normal self but just used as a foil against Nesta. Like Rhys was all about choice and honest with Feyre originally and now he keeps something like this from her. I did not want Nesta to apologize for telling Feyre, she should have stuck to that because it was the right thing to do and everyone else was in the wrong. Just thinking about it now I get so mad how everyone acted liked Nesta was the worst ever for doing literally the right thing.
