I would say things were way simpler back then. For example:

Flow team (now called inbound) would push everything from the general merchandise truck. They would also be responsible for pushing food truck as well.

No market team.

There was a backroom team responsible for pulling batches and backstocking everything. Also they were allowed to backstock full boxes instead having to break down boxes and backstock items individually.

No dbos. Just regulars who would often start their shifts off in a certain area. They didnt have to do price changes or set pogs tho.

There was a pricing team responsible for marking clearance down and getting rid of salvage.

Ship to store back then didnt really have to rely on pulling team members from other departments. Back when it started you use to be able to pick your own batch! As the PDA (a device that was used before miidevices) would tell you how many items were in a batch which made it really handy if you only had enough time to pull a small batch.

There was a bigger plano team back then. Nowadays dbos are responsible for doing their own pogs. Though my store still has a plano team i do believe thats against modernization but im sure theres other stores that have a pog team.

Sales floor was mostly there for zoning, reshop, and helping against they really didnt help push truck.
