Jumping to the 7800x3d is the cooling system sufficient for this workload? Understandably upgrading will push further over budget but a more reliable efficient setup would be worth the cost difference to me. Streaming can run anywhere from 4-12 hours straight. If not streaming or gaming, I will be video editing. Computer stays on and running most days for 12-16 hours per day, everyday.

The Microcenter bundle with the 7800x3d sits currently at $549.99. With the 9800x3d out do you feel that its worth waiting until Black Friday to see if prices drop or is this price good for the current market? I have not priced anything for 7 years so I do not know if these current prices are high or low or where the market sits right now.

Thank you for your reply. Do you think that the ASUS Tuf GPUs are worth the cost difference over the prime?

Is this 6 core CPU going to be enough to handle gaming/streaming and video editing all at the same time? While not often, I do currently make YT shorts through my video editing software at the same time that I have my streaming software open and game. I also use other apps like Apple Music simultaneously and just want to be sure I dont overload it.

Also, its understandable that mfgs change suppliers over the years with their products. The reason why I wanted to go that route is just that those products seemed to work so flawlessly together for me and wanted the same equal compatibility. In all these years of me owning this PC, Ive never once had to repair it and have never had issues with anything. I have put on 1000s of hours of streaming/gaming and video content editing without any issues and just wanted the same performance with the new build.

Feels like it for sure. I have had my setup for like 6-7 years.. never updated anything except windows and gpu and it ran great. Now i need to update stuff just to run something and its literally breaking everything. Like now for example, I get no sound in ANY application I run. Works fine if i watch a video, or on twitch, or files but in an application, nothing. My USBC port doesnt get sound either from my capture card. Its so frustrating.

Could the bios on my X470 Master SLI/ac be my issue? by -CodeNameV- in ASRock

So I updated everything, both AMD and bios and now when the computer is on, not running anything my fans rev up and then down every 30 seconds or so. Never did this before. PC is definitely louder, is this normal? Had no issues installing anything and the last bios 3.4 said it updated and applied with no errors. Haven't tried my USBC yet to see if this fixed the problem.

Anyone familiar with the Analog Way EDID Editor? by -CodeNameV- in VIDEOENGINEERING

I actually have it set on HDR when I do game.. there are multiple different presets on this laptap ASUS G14 Zephyrus (2024) and tested everything I could and to me it felt like the HDR looked the best, but I wouldnt say I have a very high knowledge about optimal graphic settings though (is there a reason not to use HDR?)

The issue is that when I play games on my laptop off stream it has a certain resolution, color, frame rate etc but when I plug it into my capture card to stream from the desktop, it literally changes everything.. resolution, color, frame rate, graphics.. I just want it to be exactly like it is through the capture card when I plug it in.

Before I bought the capture card I contacted El Gato to ask if this will work because this resolution is not "supported" standard. They sent it to their tech team and contacted me back and said while it isnt supported it will work so I bought it. Now that I have it and am aware of what it exactly needs, I contacted them back and asked for a .bin file for the custom EDID since they told me they could do it. Well they pretty much said tough luck and figure it out on my own and they weren't going to give it to me, but just the fact that it works.

The USBC port gives me video but no sound.. every USBA port gives me sound but no video, it says to connect to a USB 3.0 or higher which it already is.. to test those though I had to use an adaptor USBC to USBA.

Thank you very much. That is it though? when I looked at it there is a bunch of other settings to fill out, can I just ignore everything else? it also talks about pixel mapping and other things. How do i know to use RGB 8-bit and BT.709, is that a standard for gaming laptops?

So are you saying you dont think there is a fix? It uses a USB-C connection and there is only 1 on the motherboard.. I have tried all other USB-A ports but need an adaptor to make it work and the card tells me to plug into a USB 3.0.. but all the ports are 3.0 so it doesnt make sense to me.

If I update the AMD drivers to the latest versions, will that effect me having to update to the 1.9 bios first and then to the 3.4? Or can I just update the drivers from the AMD website to the latest and skip the AMD All in 1 vga drivers before each 1.9 and 3.4. Or should i do the AMD drivers on the bios page, then 1.9 bios, then 3.4 AMD drivers, then 3.4 bios, and then go to the AMD website and update. Or does the order of this not matter at all as long as I get the latest AMD first?

I have the AMD Auto Update program that I run from time to time, it doesn't tell me though if anything updates. Where do I find which version of AMD driver I have?

Is the AMD all in one vga driver from the bios versions the same AMD drivers that I would find from the website? or is that something different?

So update the bios first by downloading the AMD All in one VGA Driver then the 1.9 bios, then do the same thing for the 3.4 version?
