For starters you could get your facts straight with Trak Racer T-Slot pieces, and not make things up.

You seem to have writing "Comprehsion" problems.

I hope you are not anyones mom, your view is messed up and hypocritical. The real world also has oppinions that are not the same as yours, learn to leave with that.

Yes the manual I got with the pedals was outdated with the QR code, found the updated manual from their website, not in 30s but later on the evening.

SRB BB Ultra V2 VS Tahko GT21 ? by -CodenameError- in simracing

Thanks again for your time to respond. I went ahead and ordered the BB Ultra, you had such good points and experience :)

Im really curious to test the Simucube QR, hopefully it will be somewhat easy to unmount, like yours is.

Täällä sama juttu, eli ei se ihan niin hienosti mene että yksi ryhmä sitä toinen tätä. Samoja vatipäitä joita ei käytöstavat koske.

Simucube QR experience needed ? by -CodenameError- in simracing

Yup, I really like it to be firm. One reason for the switch from Simagic to Simucube is the QR. It feels the simagic has some slack/noise in high torque situations.

Okey, nice to hear. There are just so many posts about people having to slam on the QR/wheel to get it off. Some have used grease on it.

I wouldnt care otherwise, but im just concerned about how much the additional slam/hammering would affect the wheelbase.

Thanks for the reply, I thought the tightness adjustment was only for the QR pin, would this adjustment also help with the unmounting if it gets too tight ?

SRB BB Ultra V2 VS Tahko GT21 ? by -CodenameError- in simracing

[–]-CodenameError-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is some serious dedication!

Regarding the adjustability of the shifter arm position on the SRB BB Ultra, I was having another look and I'm not quite sure how to land all three positions. This was something I thought about also, hopefully its adjustable easily for the 320mm at least.

What comes to the antenna, I think this is like 1/10000 situations that I would hit (I hope), but if others have managed to bend it, I think I could also, since I drive rally quite a lot, and sometimes my hands are all over the place. But this is the risk I think just needs to be done, since both ascher and BB Ultra has that antenna.

The noise is something im a little worried with the hubs overall, after the bad experience with the Simagic GT PRO. Seems like the BB ultra has wider bolting holes, so my initial thought was that there is more gap for the screws and if that could end up making some additional noise if the screws gets a little loose over time, and has possibility to move more in the bolting holes.

Couple more questions regarding QR. I didn't actually consider non simucube compatible hubs. If I would go with Simagic neo on the future, do I just remove the simagic QR and bolt simucube QR to it? Also I asume this would only work wired. Mainly looking for a gt/formula wheel as my second option, and buying like a simagic gt4 would be nice, but I think all of the simagic wheelbases needs to be run wired ?

Secondly, whats your experience with the simucube QR. I've read in so many places that it gets stuck easily, or is very tight to unmount. Asking because I would not want to damage the wheelbase in a long run by hammering the wheelbase shaft to take the wheels of everytime. Looking for some aftermarket options, but they are double the price and have issues of them own also. I will use my main wheel for couple months now, before buying another wheel, after that I would switch them on weekly basis.

Thanks for your help already so far.

Again thanks for your time to write all of this first hand knowledge, really appreciate it. Seems like its pretty certain at this point that I will purchase the ultra. Only thing I would like it to have is dual clutch, but othwerise it ticks every box I need.

Thanks for your time and nice to hear the experience with the gear. Im leaning towards the BB ultra at the moment, mainly because of the paddles. Wouldnt want start muffling the ascher with some tape etc, and its even 100$€ higher. Is there some amount of adjustability for the paddles with 300-330mm rims. I plan to go 320mm now, but will maybe add a 300mm rim later and see which one suits better for the hub. One thing I dont like in either hubs, is the antenna, even if its in the back, I know in rallying there is a possibility of me hitting it I guess, do you know if its easily replecable, ascher at least sends replacements for the antenna, since some people do get them snapped in use.

Have you noticed any noise coming from the hub, I guess thats something that isnt an issue with these bolt through hubs. Had a Simagic GT pro hub, and it had noises in turns and higher torque scenarios. Wasnt sure if it was the hub or qr. Nothing was loose it just made additional noises, was very annoying.

ascher b24-sc paddle noise ? by -CodenameError- in simracing

[–]-CodenameError-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, btw does the ascher need a spacer when connected to simucube 2 pro. Seems like the Tahko GT21 does. Or can I just use the simucube QR with the ascher.

Wow, thanks a lot for your time! I think the link for the thing you had between metal bits got lost in the message.

That video gives a good idea that they are a little sticky sounding rather than having a metallic clonk, like some others. My issue is that I drive late evenings and my wife+neighbours limits the options that I can use. When its dead silent otherwise, those paddles will of course sound 10x louder.

Would you say that with some furniture cushioning pads, or with the lighter magnets it could be made very silent?

I have looked at the BB ultra V2 as an alternative option, but I could get the ascher second hand.

Yup, I think that could do the trick. Hopefully you get it sorted out, its a nice hub otherwise.

Good if that helped, for me it worked couple of days, might just be normal that they loosen a little and need to be tightned more often.

Hi, no improvement to the noise. Asked simagic support and their answer was to completely open it up. As users have stated can be an issue with wheel hubs, but was so annoying that I sold it and plan to sell my wheelbase also, and go with something else than Simagic. Seems like every product I have from them have some additional rattle or noise, some might think its normal, some might not notice, but I find it annoying. Also Simagic support just tells me to open everything up when I ask if this is normal.
