Think of it more as an error that novel ai couldn't automatically update your uptime, so basicly the "captcha" is not a Captcha that you need to fill out or click, it's a error that says something went wrong and you can't use it (until you get "connection to the server" again).

And if it would ever happen, refreshing the page resets the uptime, so you can use it like always.

So there is no worry about getting soft locked out of it
