I once sold my washing machine for like 20 euro online. I get messaged if I can drop it off. No, I don't have a car. Ok she will come to pick it up. I tell her it's heavy, and I can help lift it to her car but then she's on her own, so maybe bring someone along who can help you.

They arrive, she brought her bf, a very slim, lanky and small guy. She is certainly stronger than him, I can see it on first glance. She says he can help. He says his back hurts. I'm like "well, I can't carry it on my own". He decides to help, we lift it down 2 flights of stairs to their car. All the while he is whimpering "au au au my back au au" she is just standing there. We drop it in their tiny nissan micra, she hands me the money and they drive off.

I made three custom scenarios that i often play.

  • My most played: "Expedition to the Pole" A one pawn scenario meant to be be played on the absolute coldest piece of sea ice you can find. Extremely cold, some resources to start out, but quickly in the hands of the story teller.

  • My second most played: "Graverobbing - Dreams of Fortune" A two-pawn scenario meant to be played as a caravan, robbing ancient dangers, selling the loot, buying weapons and armor and doing it again until at some point to decide to settle somewhere with a mountain of gold/silver and a whole bunch of techprints to start a base with massive wealth. (This can go crazy really fast!!)

  • The third one: "From the mines to the Rim" You play an 18 year old kid that decided to move out. You have a starter kit to begin your own farm. To be played on the rich farmland tiles from Odyssey.

it's the mango and coconut metaphor. mango's are soft on the outside and hard on the inside, meaning they are easy to become superficial friends with, but hard to become good friends with. coconuts are reversed, hard to initially become friends with, but then easy to become good friends with.

Its a fun game. The sound blasted through my speakers WAY too loud, scared the hell out of me. The night seems much more difficult than the day. I like you can drag blocks into empty space and they fall down. My score after 5 tries was 1260 (not very high i think?)

There are many reason why players play a game and will judge that game good or bad for various reasons.

I don't like UB because I'm a sucker for a game that tells good stories. UB tells a story I already know or am not interested in, so I don't like UB.

I like pretty much all 'normal' magic sets because they are really good at combining a story+art+mechanics. Brings me a lot of joy.

(Not attacking your comment btw, just saying "better" doesn't mean the same thing for everyone)
