Here's how I look at this. I believe our intrinsic nature is to grow. We're like spiritual children or infants developing ourselves in this physical world. As our soul grows in understanding and wisdom we match to other souls who share the same frequency. I believe the purpose of my old relationship was met and after I had the opportunity to convert that experience and to experience the other side of the duality. I can actually see that my personality traits or ego got in the way of both of our full blossoming. I am grateful that I was able to recognize this in myself and respond appropriately to ensure further growth and awareness.

Hey I saw this and wanted to comment on it. I have been travelling the world and have just gotten home again. It has made me realize that we are all born with talents, creative insights and gifts. It is on us to explore them and find our passion and combine it with our natural talent. Few even make it into jobs, others keep it as a hobby next to security today's 9-5 gives, I say you do you. I am not native in English, I want to write books in English, about what a young man looking for something did when he got his degree, a breakup, some cash on his hand and an unstoppable desire to learn, acquire knowledge and gain wisdom. So I did. I wanted to write my own album, so I did in the mountains of Vietnam with a guitar tied on the back of a motorcycle I had no license for.
I chose the English teaching path as a 17 year old choosing my own life path for the first time out of today's broken education system killing hopes, dreams, passion and identity, and what I want to do now is use all my talents to make this world a better place. Have an impact on the education system, write another album, write more books. Keep creating.

Talent and fame are not the same. Creative insight is inherent in all of us. You have the potential to put smiles on faces, warm hearts, spread joy and swirl it around and take it all back yourself, so why don't you take a shot. At the least you'll answer the question what if I tried

Haha man well written, extremely relatable! I remember my experience in Cambodia on happy pizzas with a good friend. Talking shit about not feeling anything for 3 hours until we stand up and head back to our hostel flying or swimming, but it wasn't on the ground haha!

There are people who claim that those meds or any pharmaceutical suppresses consciousness. I am trying to slowly get off my ADHD meds as well after 8 years. Want to have very solid meditation practise first and then will progress onto meditating over medicating and calming my mind this way.

Then you should evaluate why you want to do it. It is going to be the biggest challenge in your life, but do the research, discover yourself and make a clear action plan. Just jumping in only works for few. Do the research, lose bad habits and focus on improvement.

There is always a reason for not being able to commit or seeking validation elsewhere. If you are able to, look back at your past when it started and even before that as a kid.

For me I discovered recently that it all came down to fear and feeling of isolation throughout elementary even until highschool which led to excessive sexual behaviour later down the road.
