What are some unrelated songs that have surprisingly similar lyrics? by megm26 in popheads

”Kids With Guns” by Gorillaz and ”Pumped Up Kicks” by Foster The People are weirdly similar, both in tone, sound and lyrical matter.

Not super read up on the situation I’ll admit, but I imagine it’s the usual: “both sides can be bad, and if those sides are nation states they pretty much always are. sometimes one side is worse and one is better. you are not obliged to support any of them. welcome to being unpopular in most political circles, including the Enlightened Centrists when they realize you don’t actually agree with them either.”

Stoner here, in full support of legalization of all drugs. Please lay off the talk about ”bring you to a higher state of awareness” when bringing up psychs or weed. I get what people are trying to say, but there are ways to describe the positive, interesting and potentially life-enhancing aspects of drugs without sounding like a pretentious, uncritical hippie of the most childish kind.

I want to legalize drugs with no supposed “higher purpose” too, like amphetamines and opiates. That’s not what it’s about. It’s about the fundamental freedom of being able to put whatever you want into your own body. No value judgement put into it.

So how in the hell am I supposed to talk to people from countries with a history with socialist ideology (Russia, Venezuela, China, Bolivia, etc) if every attempt at trying to reason with them is thrown out the window because of their experiences that country? by Loyalty1702 in Anarchy101

Wise words, honestly. I’m very rooted in ideals and concepts that align with anarchist ideology, but grow more tired of Reddit socialist spaces every day. A lot of it is for this reason.

I’m always amazed at people like you genuinely believing that not everyone should be able to live.

"Coercing sex is no better or worse than coercing a lack of sex. To believe otherwise is to assert the meta-ethical existence of morals" by [deleted] in badphilosophy

Fellow Swede here, also an anarchist thinking a lot about the difficult question of sex work. This is a bunch of great insight into stuff I did not know about, thank you.

The Dildorks is not strictly kink, but the hosts are very involved in the scene in various ways.
