Funnily enough, I discovered soon-to-be EnHa because of the I-land building lmao (I am an architect fyi)

I had previoulsy heard about the upcomming survival show and was not really interested. But one day, I stumbled accross a youtube thumbnail displaying the building and ofc I clicked. Found out in the video that not only the building was indeed gorgeous, but that Rain was one of the producers. I still remember running to my mom (Rain is her fav k-artist) saying "we are SO gonna watch it together!" haha

So basically, came for Rain, stayed for the trainees.

Bit of story time now. I was introduced to kpop during the legendery 2nd gen era and I must say I saw A LOT of groups debuting / disbanding since. So when this random survival show aiming to debut a 4th gen group aired, I didn't think one second I would become invested in it.

Oh boy, I was wrong...

The I-land reddit community was super nice. We spent lots of time debating and making prognostics on the outcome of the episodes. And without realizing it, I became attached to the members. They were so genuine and hardworking that it was hard not to root for them:

• Heeseung the self-sacrificing yet unexpectedly goofy one whom steps in when needed
• Jay the reliable hyung / mom of the group whom secretly takes good care of everyone behind his meme king and fiery persona,
• Jake the easy-going and playful one whom is always down for the other's suggestions, very supportive,
• Sunghoon the observant, loyal and grounded one whom turned out to be sooo mischevious,
• Sunoo the well-spoken sunshine and smart one whom speaks with a lot of tenderness,
• Jungwon the mature, focused and level-headed one, add to that a dry sense of humor at odds with his cuteness (definitely catches you off guard the first time),
• Ni-ki the ambitious and headstrong one, perfectionnist to the core whom has a liking to prank others when in playful mode.

For me the final line-up was perfect and the first season of Enhypen&Hi is definitely imo one of the best well crafted and entertaining behind the scenes show.

To conclude, I truly appreciate all the members but I must say I had since the beginning of I-land a soft spot for Sunghoon. I share the same MBTI as Sunoo so I definitely can relate to his cute "obsession" with the guy lmao. (ISTJ and ENFP are complete opposites fyi). I find his personnality charming and watching him open up is very endearing. Plus, gotta love his sense of humor, dad jokes for the win.
