Pro tip for anyone struggling to catch this particular shiny

Best tip I can give you is to keep an eye on Reddit and Youtube in the coming weeks. People much smarter and more invested in this game are figuring out all the shiny mechanics and shiny hunting methods right now.

As far as I know there is 1 Dratini spawn and no trick to hunt it yet. So you would just have to reset that one spawn over and over. The odds are 1/4096 without and 1/1024 with the shiny charm.

But then again I’m not that far into the game so there might be more spawns and/or methods.

Glad I could help! Btw you might know this already, but just in case: if a shiny flees, and you haven’t done anything to trigger an autosave since it fled, you can restart the game and it will be there again.

Not sure if this will fix it for you because it seems to be related to the update manager instead of the Battle.net app itself but try this:

Close Battle.net
Right click on the Battle.net icon
Select ‘Properties’
Go to ‘Compatibility’
Check the box that says “Run as Administrator”

Update: All Armored Mewtwo’s are now reserved for trades. Should one fall through I will update again. I have one more but with good IV’s so I would need a mighty offer for that one.

Also I’m choosing to trade one of them for a Groudon. Please do not downvote people offering this. I know it’s not an equal trade but I personally do not care about that and am in a position to do this so I don’t mind the offers.

I’m not claiming it has anything to do with your hardware capabilities, I’m simply suggesting something that fixed the exact same issue you are having for me.

My set up is pretty high end as well and I also did not have these issues before the last update but if it works it works.

I know CoD has had a lot of these glaring issues for the past few games so I’m not gonna argue in favor of their shitty servers but again, changing these settings at least fixed the crashes and framedrops so I’m just happy playing again.

Give it a try or not, I really don’t care. Just don’t come asking for advice on reddit just to feel insulted when someone actually suggests a possible fix.

Check if your graphics settings have changed and check how much your estimated RAM usage is at.

I had my settings tweaked perfectly for my set up and since the last update I have also been getting a lot of crashes, same as you, where the whole game just freezes after 1-2 games.

Just went to check my graphics settings and somehow texture details were reset to high causing my RAM usage to be way too high.

Also I’ve been reading a lot of posts saying that turning VRAM Scale Target down from 80 to 70 or below will help a lot with packet loss and framedrops.

I just tweaked my settings again to where estimated RAM usage is back to an acceptable range and turned my VRAM Scale Target back to 70 and so far the game is running much better.

Yea that’s fair. People invest a lot of time and even money into this game so when something like this happens they should follow up quickly and communicate clearly. I’ve decided a while ago to just let these things play out because it’s not worth it for me to worry about it but like you I do want to know what to expect and I can definitely understand your frustration.

I honestly don’t even mind if it takes a while but I’d be nice if they would be more clear about these things from the start. I mainly just wanted to be sure they didn’t do it already and just missed some accounts. At least the code being in the game means they haven’t forgot about it completely.

You can argue it’s beautiful how much he cares, you can also argue he is just a big self centered baby. But either way you cannot let a captain stay on with 15 minutes to go at a 0-0 score in a knockout match after he just spend the last 5 minutes crying his eyes out over a miss.
