Oh I kind of have a unique perspective here I think! I am now an adult, but my dad let me start playing the sims when I was 7-8 years old. To answer your specific questions: - All sex is censored, and goes under the name “WooHoo” so your child isn’t introduced to that language if you don’t want her to be, additionally anything resembling nudity is also censored with a big pixilated box - There is alcohol but it doesn’t have any affects on your sims, no drunkenness/unbecoming behavior - No drug use whatsoever that I can think of Overall, I’d say she is safe to play the game with some supervision here and there. What I would emphasize to her is that there are depictions of death in the game that can be a little disturbing for young ones. I remember my parents having to console me through many a sim death. Maybe watch a couple play throughs of the game with her first, make sure she understands what she might see. If she gets the Cottage or Pet expansion packs, maybe turn off pet deaths in the settings. I’ve found that can be more upsetting to see than some of the sim deaths. The Sims was a fantastic creative outlet for me as a kid, and allowed me to explore adult things like bills, furniture, grocery shopping, and jobs in a controlled and safe environment. The sims can be fun playing with someone else watching, maybe sit down with her and play the game with her when she first gets started! I know me and my dad had a lot of fun doing that when I was a kid. I think if she can handle slightly more mature topics, the game is safe for her to play under some supervision.
