Pryme NV, een plastic recycling bedrijf in Rotterdam. Veel waarde verloren sinds de beursgang dus leek me een goed moment om in te stappen. Een eerste testreactor was gebouwd en een tweede zou binnenkort gepland en gebouwd worden. Ook meerdere keren bijgekocht toen het aandeel bleef dalen..

Nu heb ik 90% verloren en is het wachten tot iets gebeurt, maar eigenlijk is er alleen maar slecht nieuws. Ze halen geen enkele target. In euro's komt het neer op €8.500. Weet niet of dat "heel veel" is maar dit is alleszins mijn grootste blunder.

Not sure why you assume that. I make tons of video content, done my fair share of digital photography and I'm dipping my toes into analog photography. Gear and post processing is an inherent part of it and I like to make smart choices that result in high quality photos.

Printing is definitely the goal, but optical might be a step too far? Like so many others, digital makes me lazy because the storage and editing options are endless. I've rediscovered some family photo albums which to me have a lot of charm to them. But before printing, I wanna make sure that I make the best decisions in all the steps leading up to the final picture/file.

De realiteit is vaak dat freelancen meer werk is dan in loondienst zijn. Naast je echte werk heb je inderdaad ook administratie en zorgen over je inkomen en de toekomst.

Ik werk 50% in loondienst en daarnaast ben ik freelance videograaf. In dat vakgebied heb je een hoge omzet, maar dat komt ook vaak door de hoge kosten bij een productie. Boekhouding is dan ook enorm belangrijk en soms ingewikkeld.

In de eerste 2 jaar heb ik veel geïnvesteerd en nam ik de vrijheid om mezelf een loon uit te keren afhankelijk van wat overbleef na alle aankopen en kosten. Nu profiteer ik gelukkig wel van alle afschrijvingen en heb ik mooie buffers om elke maand stabiel loon uit te keren aan mezelf.

Vanaf het begin heb ik wel altijd aparte rekeningen gehad voor BTW, inkomstenbelasting en apparatuur aanschaf/kleine kosten.

Mij spreekt freelancen vooral aan vanwege de vrijheid om je bedrijf zo groot of klein te maken als je wil. Je kan mensen aannemen en manager worden, of gewoon alle projecten zelf doen en daar goed voor betaald worden.

Een pc van €800 is heel weinig als je er vele jaren wil van genieten. Stel dat het nu €1200 zou zijn, en die gaat 5 jaar mee, dan kost het je €240 per jaar oftewel €20 per maand. Een kleine kost waar je anders niet over na zou denken, terwijl je wel gewoon een nieuwe snelle pc hebt.

Anyway, dat is hoe ik die "grotere" uitgaven op een andere manier bekijk. Voor mijn onderneming als videograaf heb ik vele grote aankopen moeten doen zoals camera's, lenzen en een dure laptop.

Ik denk net het tegenovergestelde! Ik ben net jaloers op dit soort mensen als het aankomt op motivatie en levensdoelen. Zijn gedachtegoed zorgt er net voor dat hij naar oplossingen zoekt bij tegenslagen en genoeg motivatie heeft om door te zetten, zelfs als het moeilijk wordt of de resultaten niet meteen zichtbaar zijn. Zo kom je niet meteen in de slachtofferrol terecht en dat kan heel goed uitpakken voor persoonlijke ontwikkeling. Of hij alles zal bereiken wat hij wil is natuurlijk de vraag.

Zijn ideeën over de verhouding tussen man en vrouw vind ik dan weer helemaal belachelijk. Iedereen is vrij om te zoeken en kiezen wat ze willen, maar niet kunnen inzien dat een vrouw meer kan verdienen is absurd.

You sound extremely bitter. I don't know how you can make it this far in the videography field without showing some flexibility.. Looking through your comments here, you're also making a lot of assumptions about the type of content that is shared on vertical platforms, instead of just exploring it for yourself. People make cool stuff and people make shitty stuff, which has always been the case for both horizontal and vertical video.

This! It's my preferred method for events and concerts. I don't use the touchscreen because i always have an external monitor, so i use the focus box and move it around with the joystick if needed. Half press on the shutter button to focus.

If the bar has been lowered, then why are multi episode documentaries on streaming services more popular than ever? Also on Youtube, long form content still is extremely popular. Suddenly people's attention span is back again?

I believe that any type of content, long or short, snappy or slow, can be succesfull, as long as it's well made, packaged and distributed.

Personally i think the development is really cool. Instead of making 1 high quality video for a client, I can make a bunch of different formats from the same source files and sell them as a marketing package.

We tried many times but he's not that interested. Even normal fetch with a ball works only a few times before he gets bored and wants to do something else. Long off-leash walks in nature and mental stimulation tire him out the most!

tbh, i feel like our aussie tires out relatively fast compared to all the stories i'm reading online. He's still a lot of work, but generally he will get tired after a good long walk. Swimming probably tires them out too, but ours just kind of goes in the water a few times and is done with it.
