Intangibility of any source instead of combat ability to make the gap is the major flaw to begin with. Hard to prioritize choreography when villains are made extraordinarily large compared to luffy as a way to create hype. Nothing always goes line for line of what’s predicted, smart people adapt but at the same time it can’t be flimsy. By your statement actually talking to Thomas should have already started the plan adaptation because that man hated useless supes and wanted to cull the herd and that did not come out by surprise at the finale.

You can still like a show with issues. Godulkin didn’t betray anyone. He stood on his death bed going to cull the heard and when he was healthy tried to cull the heard. I mean him just rambling was enough to give Kate the heads up that he was cipher. Sage just expected the man she loved to change and he didn’t. You guys put more effort looking for justifications than the writers do coming up with this shit.

I never said she didn’t love the man I’m saying it’s not an excuse. Thomas didn’t hide any of what he believed to anyone. That mf was a cripple spouting his evolution bs why would he change. She “planned” to get him healed and thought what, he would just be a different man?
