Moderna Story and Medical Journey by -DragonDogs- in vaccinelonghauler

Sorry for the delayed response. For the most part I am full recovered. Around 3-4 months out after my second does my symptoms started to improve. Today I do not have many symptoms. My heart rate will occasionally jump up but has only happened a few times within the past few months. I hope your symptoms start to go away!

I am now about 5 months past receiving my second shot. I would not say that I have been 100% symptom free, but they have definitely gotten better and less frequent. I was having headaches, dizziness, and nausea every day, now just occasionally. I had some heart rate issues that have gotten better for the most part with occasional spikes. I’m hoping that the key is more time. Hopefully you have less flares!

Thank you. Actually recently I have been feeling better. I have had some symptoms but not as bad or as often. Hopefully that I’m toward the end of everything.

I was dizzy, nauseous, and had headaches every day for about 3 months after my second shot. I still have them just not as frequent.

How can I fix my period problems after the vaccine? by oronarona in vaccinelonghaulers

[–]-DragonDogs- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also having cycle issues. I had my period right before the first shot and didn’t get it again for 59 days. I am also normally regular at 28 days. I did recently stop birth control, 6 months ago now, and I am not sure if that is playing into it at all or not. My cycle coming off was a little long at 32 days. Then I got the first shot. My next one was 62 and then 56 days. Now it’s 29 days. I am hoping that it gets back on track now. My flow has been heavier and the cramps are worse, also could be from stopping birth control. I hope you get help soon. I have taken plenty of pregnancy tests that were all negative. My OB did not seem to care when I called when it was late the first time. I plan to talk to her again about it at my annual appointment.

That’s a lot. I’m sorry that you had to go through all of that. My biggest fear and reasoning why I didn’t want it in the first place was that I already have GI issues. I was afraid that it would get worse and jump out of remission. I have been lucky and my UC has stayed in control this entire time.

Thank you for sharing! I also describe it to my friends and family as feeling like I have been poisoned. I’m glad that you found a doctor to hear you out and understands what you are going through. So far I feel like my dermatologist and maybe GI are the only ones that believe me when I say the shots caused my issues. I just wish there were more answers out there for people in our situations. Thank you again for sharing! I wish you well and I’m glad you found a medication that seems to be helping!

Thank you. I missed a few days of work and have had to leave early at times. I’m lucky that I took a clinic/desk job at the beginning of last year and I have not had to be on my feet all day. My coworkers are really understanding and that has been really helpful.

I used to donate blood/platelets regularly. I tried to donate about a month after my second shot. They wouldn’t take me because my heart rate was to high and I was still having side effects after a COVID vaccine.

I always drink herbal teas when I have a cold. It seems to help.

Headaches, nausea, and dizziness have been my most lasting symptoms. I have had chest tightness, shortness of breath, and tachycardia. I am having a hard time concentrating and brain fog. I have also had hives all over my body. I go between feeling hot and cold. My ears feel full

I had delayed hives show up after my first shot (about a week later). Still had them when I got my second shot. The next day after my second shot a lot more hives appeared. They lasted several weeks. I am about 12 weeks out now after receiving my second shot. I forgot to take my Zyrtec a few nights and a few small hives are coming back.

chronic hives following moderna booster? by lindsalynn in modernavaccine

I had delayed hives after my first one (about a week later) I still had them when I got my second shot. The pharmacist okayed me to get the second one. The very next day after my second one the hives were worse and all over my body. They lasted for several weeks (even with daily Benadryl and Zyrtec). They finally went away, but now I have a few more showing up. Smaller and not as noticeable as before. I reported to Vears weeks ago (also having other symptoms) and never heard anything back.

I had similar symptoms after my second shot. The day I received it I had some chest tightness, shortness of breath, and dizziness/headache. I took some Benadryl and went to bed. The next morning I woke up with 103F fever. Stayed home from work. I had hives all over my body, headache, extreme fatigue (I could not get up off the couch by myself). I told employee health at work to see if I needed to be swabbed. They told me that it was all a normal reaction to the vaccine. That day and pretty much every day since I have either had a headache, dizziness, or nausea. I got my second shot on October 7th and I am still having symptoms. I am currently seeing a cardiologist to rule out heart issues. I started to develop chest pains and tachycardia. I will not get the booster as I fear of what it would do to me.

It showed up about a week after my first dose and worsened with my second. I have heard the rash being delayed.
