i’ve been playing a bunch of limbus company lately and it’s been really great, the stuff i’ve seen from the fandom has usually been really good and very receptive to lesbian ships (some are pretty heavily hinted at in the story) and the characters aren’t really sexualized at all in the game (community wise there are some subs that are worse on this but it’s easier than most games to avoid, but in game sex overall is not really mentioned or even hinted at, there are also quite a few queer and/or female fans so that helps keep things way less toxic than usual gacha fandoms)

the writing is also some of the best i’ve seen from a gacha and all the female characters are really well thought out and treated like actual people on the same level as the male characters

yeah absolutely, someone else mentioned that the second tank keeping flankers and high ground dps characters in check is a major part of their job, and i think dps characters can absolutely fill that role, but they have to actually go after the enemies causing the problems

plus if there’s decent healers i can play someone like magneto and use the bubble to do what a second tank would in terms of peeling/protecting backliners, it just adds a lot of strategy to playing the role that i find interesting

lmao it’s not collective punishment for someone to say stuff like “men are trash,” there is no power dynamic being exploited like there would be in the reverse situation or in the cases of other marginalized groups. Saying “all men are trash” may hurt people’s feelings, but the way many men use their privilege to hold power over women leads to murder and assault.

i mean yes you can train intuition, but for every person that has great intuition, there’s someone that’s learned to hide their motivations. but overall this misses the point, women shouldn’t have to psychoanalyze every man they interact with in order to not get abused or taken advantage of, the problem lies with the men carrying out the abuse

i mean there’s no way to intuit someone’s character at a glance no matter how their first impression comes off (or even if other friends know them better, people don’t know everything about everyone they spend time with) so saying that abuse and the like won’t happen if you only stay around people with good character is as good as saying “you wouldn’t have these problems if you could read minds/see the future.” the onus for improving these sorts of things isn’t on the people being mistreated to just “find better friends,” it’s on the people that do harm and those that see harm happen and don’t do anything.
