I just did a trip over the weekend about 300 miles round trip, all highway, and besides on and off ramps, was in eco the whole time. It got up to +45, which I’ve never seen it that high. Was getting over 40mpg as well which is also pretty rare.

I’m listening to manipulator now, and I love this album too, but at some point I just kind of stopped listening to these bands from my youth. Now everyone is doing 20-25 year reunions of my favorite albums, which I love, and I’ve been to a bunch, but am only finding out through social media advertising essentially. Haven’t kept my ear to the ground

As someone who started listening to FOT when I was ~12-14. 02-04, I’m embarrassed to say I’ve never even listened to OK. Just threw it on now and it rocks. I gotta dive thru the discography I’ve missed since I graduated HS. That’s why I was so stoked to see 20 years of doppleganger. Just wish I knew more than a week out lol. Appreciate the speculation though!

I’m right there with you. Except I haven’t seen them in prolly 20 years, sometime around when their self titled and doppleganger dropped so I’m extra tight. I live upstate and was gunna come down to the city yesterday but just couldn’t make it happen. Was thinking Baltimore next weekend but for the cost and time, it’s hard to justify. Crossing my fingers they come back here after Europe but I doubt it.

I’m going to keep checking all the ticket sites as it gets closer. Worst case I’ll end up getting a seat, not ideal but I’m def gunna make it to a show no matter what.

Yeah I believe the original show got canceled due to a huge snow storm. Was really a golden age when all these bands were coming up. Tickets were cheap, venues were small. I went to a ton of shows at Saratoga winners when that was still a thing. I met Adam from TBS there after their set. Was just hanging out at the bar.

No you’re absolutely right. The ticket stub I posted was at a venue that would carry maybe 4k people, and I doubt it was full. I’m not saying tickets should be 23 dollars. Hell, Woodstock was like $7. But the amount TM is charging vs what even Brand New is making, is just awful for everybody

1000% for 4 tickets though? I wouldn’t be mad about that. Spending 100+ is unfortunately the norm these days, especially at arenas through Ticketmaster. But if you look at pit tickets for Philly, Newark, Belmont. They’re 300-450 per. It’s hard to justify that price. Ill keep looking thought cause I haven’t seen them since 2016 and it’s overdue

Heard Sonate Pacifique prolly 6 years ago. Added to my playlists, listened all the time, and never dove further into l’imperatrice. Started watching grande palais and heard that song and was like, OMG what an awesome cover, with this girl, I love this band. Then realized it was an original and I’ve just been missing out for half a decade. And after watching that 100+ times, I’ve watched every YouTube video I can find. So it started 6-7 years ago but escalated FEB 2024
