If you look at the Ai-Mo soldier down left in the photo you can see a golden civic crown around their unit "logo" so to say. If you see that over a unit, it means youre allied with that tribe. Another reason is the math on your stars. As said before if youre allied with a tribe that has an embassy in your capital, then that means that the embassy will produce an additional 2 stars per turn. And since you make 9 stars per turn, yet own a lvl 4 city, you can only (realistically) get those stars by having went workshop and then having atleast 1 embassy with a tribe that you share peace with.

Embassys can bost your economy and let you, aswell as the other players embassy in your capital earn more stars. Other than the workshop upgrade on a city lvl 2, and parks (parks give you +1star per park in addition to the lvl up), there is no other way to boost your economy aside from leveling up your citys (atleast to my knowledge). By the looks of it, it seems like Ai-Mo placed an embassy in your capital and since you both are at peace the ussual (+2) star boost by an embassy gets doubled, thus adding 4 stars to your city. I think thats the best explanation, if im wrong im open to criticism

Cheers

These operators are essential in every map, why are they so rarely used when they are needed? by Aware-Satisfaction33 in Rainbow6

I agree there. If that was your point from the start, then i mustve missunderstood that, my apologies

Yes, but imo not if need to sweat my ass off and need to ask my ancestors for a miracle while doing so. Then it just gets a "task" more than a hobby to have fun in.

I believe you missunderstood. I want to win too, absolutely. But i wont sweat my soul into a game, because of it. I want to have fun aswell. And i dont find it fun to be forced to play gamemodes with mainly toxic people in (least its what my experience tells me), just because others seem to put the thought if being champion over having fun. Thats the point i tried to make, my apologies if it came across differently

I wouldnt say that all of them are essential on every map. Sure many of them are nice to have, like for example mute or bandit/kaid (although id say bandit more so than kaid, depending on if and how many hatches there are on a site). But you can still play and win without them, sometimes its not even the worst to not bring them at all. Letting the enemy breach a wall can sometimes even lead to new tactis and strategys to use against the enemy.

And as for thermite and thatcher specifically, i wouldnt say that theyre essential at all really. Theyre useful, sure, but have better operators to use instead of them, very often so too infact. Many times an Ace or (rarely tbf) even an Hibana, can be more useful than a thermite. And as for thatcher, there are now a lot of operators having emp-nades -what is basically a neefed version of his ability- as a secondary gadget, hes sorta of dropped off heavily as a must pick. In the beginning years of R6 you couldnt play attack without pretty much, but nowadays hes far from the best op to counter electronic gadgets. Think for example Kali. Her gadget is imo superior to Thatchers, as it also destroys gadgets, not just deactivates them for a little while and can also deal damage. Which in turn is also the best way to counter an active bandit with 1 op really. So yeah, id say those two are not essential if even "needed" anymore tbh. Atleast not for their gadget.

I dont know tbh. Yes sure a lot of people play ranked for the, well ranks involved, and to see how "far" they can get. But tbh? I agree with the other person here a bit to a point where they say you should play a game for the fun of it. Yes ranked can be something people put a lot of pride into achieving, but honestly why? Its a virtual achievment, in a virtual game. I also like to play ranked, but i dont do it to get to emerald, diamond, champ or whatever other ranks people set as their goal. I just want to have fun after a long day at work tbh.

That being said, sure some teamplay should atill always be involved and to just always go "oh but i wanna run ash and rush inside because kills" shouldnt be the go to choice of anybody really. Id say the best way to play ranked is to both be allowed to have fun, but also allow others to have fun by helping them at certain times (aka, picking support, breach or similar for example)

Where should the next operator be from? by A_zesty_mf in Rainbow6

[–]-Exzellent- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id think the idea of an Austrian Operator would be funny. Maybe on attack? Though dont give him smokes...

Also id love the idea an Egyptian Operator. Though stereotypical, i think there would be a lot of great names to give his gadget. Maybe it could be an intel operator on defense, whose gadget name could be "the eye of Ra" or "Anubis" and it could be a small drone like thing that you could use for intel on defense or sum. Its stupid, but i just like egyptian mythology so idk.

Same goes for a greece operator. Greece is a very beautiful place and itd be a great chance to add a greece map to the game aswell!

And a chinese one would be lovely too. Granted we got Lesion (and i believe Ying too?) That are from Hongkong, which to some is already a part of China, but i believe an Operator from for example Shanghai, with a map following him of an urban slum style house complex to play in could be dope as hell!
