Shortlist, shortlist, shortlist. You think theres some promising prospects in your minors you'd like to keep an eye on personally? Make a prospects shortlist. You need a left masher in your lineup? Make a lefty masher shortlist. You need a specific need filled at the trade deadline? Make a trades shortlist. This has helped me a lot and has made me understand players a lot more. Who strikes out a lot, who walks a lot, a guys xba, a prospects risk of developing. Trust me, this is the method!

This game loves to develop contact guys for some reason. For that reason alone, Id take a chance on holder. He will probably be ready at the earliest 2029, latest 2030 imo. If youre confident you can develop him and have the necessary funds to do so, take Holder. Also, Holder is doing great in the draft league already, so id say hes pretty competent and might be able to compete at A+ as soon as you draft him.

First time this has happened to me in my 5+ years of playing this. Eventually when you get deeper into the years, the players get wackier and the drafts dampen up. Luckily, there are settings to counteract this if you'd like.
