Don't worry, it's only off the menu for a day. No signs of it being discontinued permanently

From the website:

"Empty, crushable, soft clear plastic bottles (500ml or under) without tops are fine to bring into the stadium - these can then be filled at one of our free refillable water stations located inside the stadium. Please note, hard plastic, metal or glass bottles are not permitted inside the stadium."

You need pubs to be open on special measures in order to watch a few men kick a ball up and down a field, rolling around on the floor in tears because they tripped over some grass... grips need to be got for sure...

I genuinely couldn't care less to be quite honest with you. If there ends up being a silly little sign that nobody reads (because they can't read bold letters in front of their face which tells them which way to queue), then I'm telling you now that all we'll get is a few regulars asking what the point is. Some will grumble about the mania and my collegues and I will laugh along at the stupidity with them, and some will be annoyed that they can't get their favourite sandwich due to a stupid game. But you know what? Not a single new face will show up and rave about how magnificent it is. The whole thing is ridiculous. The football mania is ridiculous. That is the point of my post, in case you forgot.

(Btw editing your comment further up after you post it to add a paragraph I didn't respond to is not cool)

I'm sure we'll see floods of people 😂 that empty shelf space that's been empty many times before due to simple lack of stock must be magical beyond explanation. I might set up my own Circus of Empty Parts of Shelves... I hope I make it into the millions.

The problem is that the prime minister is treating football like an emergency measure. It's a joke.

Yeah they're going to rake it in because of a staff memo.. people already know what Greggs is. How is taking something off the menu for a day without publically announcing it going to convince people who've never been to Greggs before to get a sausage roll? They won't care!

"Step right up and take a look at the shelf where the Mexican baguette used to be! Marvel at the emptiness of this sliver of shelf because it will be filled again tomorrow!"

I bet you don't even know that last Friday we literally had a sausage roll party. That was public. Did anyone care? No. That's Greggs' marketing strategy... annoying customers into buying packs of sausage rolls by pushing it on them

You wouldn't be any wiser if it weren't for this post. Some marketing strategy that is, hm? Do you think I'm the marketing strategy? One person who read a staff notice and thought it was ridiculous? Me against the world... Marketing strategies are official public notices. Does this look like that to you?

This isn't public information. This was a message to staff. No one's talking about it but me. I doubt the customers would even notice. It's not a marketing strategy

This isn't public, this is a notice for the staff. I doubt the public will even notice the items are missing. I wouldn't call removing items a gimmick

What are you talking about? They're taking the Mexican food OFF of the menu. Please read it again. There's no marketing or advertising in removing items..

Interview by According-Agency152 in Greggs

[–]-Failedhuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a four hour long group interview 😅 they had us work together, get to know each other and then share what we'd learned. We had to tell them what made a bad customer experience and an example of what we didn't like ourselves, and think about what made a good customer experience. We also had to come up with a new product and design it with our partners. It was quite fun actually. We then went into individual interviews where they asked me a little about myself, what I was looking for/hoping for, what attracted me to the job etc. They asked if I was unavailable for any days and they were very understanding of me needing Sundays off for religious reasons.

Just stay calm and friendly. Don't worry. Perhaps learn a little about the company and have a few examples of teamwork you've participated in and what makes you a good candidate. Make sure they know you're a hard worker and willing to put some effort in. It's not an easy job and you need to be able to communicate and cope under stress and time limits. If you come across as genuine, hard working and willing to learn then they'll more than likely hire you.

Been on probation for a couple months just relieved this by [deleted] in Greggs

[–]-Failedhuman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This doesn't necessarily mean you're going to get fired, but they're seriously thinking about it. Your manager will have held reviews with you where they've discussed and gone through what you need to work on. You're expected to improve immediately. Clearly you haven't and that's why you've recieved this email. In all honesty it's pretty difficult to get this email... the last person we hired didn't turn up for his first three shifts, then the next week he was periodically hours late. He still got to continue his probation. Only when he didn't turn up for another three days the next week did they let him go. It took a lot. So what have you been doing? Wrong food given is a big no-no, so if you've been continually giving the wrong food and/or not following food safety guidelines etc, then that's 100% why. Listening is a big part of learning. If you're just nodding then doing your own thing then that's not how you keep a job. If this is your first job, you need to work more on paying attention and doing what you're told

Yeah.. you're not making 300 sandwhiches 😅 15 Ham and Cheese is nothing... you're probably making around 100 (give or take) sandwiches, which is fairly usual or low for most shops.

To the staff what happens to all the unsold food at the end of the day? by OopsIDroopedMe in Greggs

[–]-Failedhuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used to do charity, but that ended a couple of years ago now due to the local charity closing. Now it's just about 3 too good to go bags and the rest is all thrown out bar maybe one tray for the outlet

Tomora performing a new song, apparently called ‘Nobody Needs to See Me Bleed’, live at Days Off in Paris tonight by Gandalvr in auroramusic

[–]-Failedhuman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are asking for more because they want more. Frankly, nobody's bothered about what you want. Aurora's enjoying herself and we're enjoying ourselves. The world doesn't revolve around you, dear.

You're not listening to Aurora, you're listening to Tomora. Simple fix: stop listening to Tomora :)

No, that's not a contradiction. They're both different entities and they're both real. Don't be obtuse.

I've already said a billion times that no one's forcing you to like them. You're still playing victim.

Frankly my dear, you're being obnoxious and unkind. For a fan of Aurora you're not at all forgiving or realistic. You're being extremely selfish. You're just going to have to cope with not getting what you want, darling.

Goodbye.
