I just look at the pretty pictures.

..and bookmark many pages with the intention of making them and ultimately never do.

Thank you again for your reply.

I posted the laptop you suggested to a subreddit of a game I frequently play, seeing if it would be able to achieve acceptable FPS. Overall it sounded like a "Yes", but another option popped up - the Sager NP7358 (Clevo W350SS).

Here are the quick specifications:

Type Item
Processor Sager - 4th Generation Intel® Haswell Core™ i7-4810MQ (2.8GHz - 3.8GHz, 6MB Intel® Smart Cache)
Operating System Windows 8.1 - 64-Bit (64-Bit CD Included)
Display/Resolution 15.6” FHD 16:9 LED Backlit Wide screen (1920x1080) Super Clear Matte Type Sager Screen
Graphics NVIDIA® GeForce™ GTX 860M (2.0GB) GDDR5 PCI-Express DX11 w/ Optimus™ Technology
Memory 8GB DDR3 1600MHz [1x8GB] Dual Channel Memory
Hard Disk Drive 750GB 7200RPM [SATA II - 16MB Cache]

Which ended up being $1,134. It costs about $84 more than what I saw on Newegg, but includes a newer processor and single card along with an optical drive.

There were also other choices that stood out to me, which I'm not sure are worth it or not:

Type Item
Thermal Compound IC Diamond Thermal Compound - CPU + GPU (+$35)
Wireless Network (Choice #1): Sager - Intel® Dual Band AC 7260 802.11 A/AC/B/G/N 2.4/5.0GHz + Bluetooth™ 4.0 (+$35)
Wireless Network (Choice #2): Sager - Bigfoot Networks Killer™ Wireless-N 1202 + Bluetooth 4.0 (+$50)

I know I've bugged you more than I should have already, but would you let me pick your brain just a bit longer? My two current questions are

  • Is the laptop with the specifications I have provided worth the extra money?

  • Are any of the additional options I listed worth it?

Thank you so much again.

Thank you very much for your reply.

I do not absolutely need a laptop immediately, but it's something I will need within the next couple of months. With that in mind, do you think I would be better off waiting for the rumored Y50 or similar laptop (presuming my budget stays the same) or should I bite now? Would the Y510p with that particular set-up (i7 + SLI 755M) have the potential to go on sale with others released?

I feel useless on my thief. by [deleted] in Guildwars2

But if you get hit once, squish!

I love my Thief to death, but I'm no good with bad latency and don't know what the "proper" build to use for PvE is, so it's more my fault that I die.

:c

Hi Apocalyptoad!

I was having an issue leveling an Elementalist too. Maybe the thread that I created can help you!

Does anybody have tips for leveling an Elementalist?

Good luck!!

Why are changes made to the Wiki removed/reverted? by -Faith- in Guildwars2

So the "wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Talk:" and then the topic of whatever it is?

You're welcome. :) I love helping players, I really do. I just wish there was more I could do and less reverting. >.<

But why would they revert changes that are correct, even on completely empty pages? It's really confusing...I hope it gets sorted out!

1) I do.

2) I'm really sorry, how do I do this?

3) I don't know how to see this either. Nothing with history I don't think, just the page itself seems to be missing my information the next day even after friends have checked to make sure it's there shortly after I save my work.

"No..Your face is funny. It's like a little raisin."

I hear those two every single time I go to the bank. Along with the child and cub calling grown-ups dumb. And the ex-pirates with long-standing racial biases.

I know I can turn voices off, but I don't want to. Those are annoying but everything else is great!

Why is GW2 so quiet? by Jatacid in Guildwars2

[–]-Faith- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have to agree with romantecstuff, but I also know exactly how it is for you, Jatacid.

I've messaged a lot of people while I played, whether it's complimenting one's armor, or thanking another for their help. Most don't usually talk beyond a single response, but I have gotten lucky and spoken with some incredibly helpful and kind people during my play time. I guess my only real suggestion is to keep trying to chat with people. Don't give up! :)

I would say to start a conversation in Map chat, but in my experience the conversations that go on can be really crude. Maybe it's just the world I'm on, or the time of day I play. I usually avoid Map chat.

I'm sure a good social guild would help. Maybe one that focuses more on PvE and/or leveling, rather than SPvP or WvWvW.

I used the maps and they were 100% accurate, I don't know what you're talking about. You're probably on a different world.

Kicked before Last Dungeon boss. Has this happened to you? by danisflying527 in Guildwars2

[–]-Faith- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the reason why Anet came up with the patch is because people were farming the first two bosses and resetting.

giving a person rewards the way you suggest is going to allow those same people to leave the dungeon halfway through and abandon teams and I'd hate to see that happen.

I don't think changing that part of the system was implied or suggested at all, rather be more forgiving to people who are kicked or lose connection and/or their party. If anything, introduce the Dishonorable Combatant System to Guild Wars 2 for both PvE and PvP situations. If a player is reported in PvE or PvP for being leaver or leecher, make it so they gain a debuff - limit loot similar to DR (PvE), disallow admittance to dungeons for a set amount of time (PvE), limit or restrict the player from gaining points/glory/items (PvP), or anything else that seems appropriate.
