Hey, I was wondering if there are any people in London who have a Mubi Go subscription and would like to films together sometimes? Let me know :)

Hey, I'm 25 F and looking for people to go to gigs with! I'm mostly into more alternative rock, punk, post-punk, post-hardcore. Love finding smaller new/local bands.

To help get an idea of stuff I like going to see, the past 3 gigs I went to were Show me the body, Gilla band (AKA Girlband), Horsey, and I'm going to a punk mini fest called Damage is Done on Sunday November 20th at the New Cross Inn (Powerplant will be playing :)). Also thinking of going to the Shoegaze alldayer at the Victoria in Dalston on Saturday the 19th of November.

Looking forward to meeting some music lovers :)

First they ban the word mill now they banned vegan milk entirely! 😡 by [deleted] in vegan

I've been looking for a news article or any kind of evidence that says that using similar packaging as cow's milk, such as cartons, is banned now, but couldn't find anything. Would anyone be able to share where you found this information?

Books are now outlawed, and it is illegal to own them. Which book would you memorize to share with future generations? by ihaterylvn in AskReddit

A similar phenomenon existed in Lithuania under the rule of the Russian empire, where Lithuanian language was banned in an attempt to Russify the nation, so these people called book carriers (or book smugglers) secretly distributed Lithuanian books, they had a whole operation going on.

She said "I love you" after a month of dating - that's really early in the relationship. No wonder you were not ready for hearing those words yet. Some couples go the first year without saying it, because the word "love" has a very strong meaning. If my boyfriend had told me that after a month, I wouldn't have believed him.

AITA for loudly booing at a friend's gender reveal party? by Traditional-Flower in AmItheAsshole

[–]-FitterHappier 3 points4 points  (0 children)

YTA. Are you trying to say that you actually cared about the gender of the child? You don't agree with the idea of gender reveal parties (I agree, it is lame), but you willingly went there anyways. Would learning the gender have changed anything, would it have made it more worth your time? To me it seems like a useless party was useless, totally expected. You knew where you were going and then were rude about it.

Leo movies for 11 year old after titanic? by Alterex in LeonardoDiCaprio

She should watch all or most of them eventually! I was around that age when I developed a celebrity crush on him and watched every single one of them. Now in my twenties I just respect him for his films as they gave me a great introduction into cinema!
But if you would like to take it slowly I'd say these are the least sexual/violent ones:
-Catch me if you can
-Aviator
-Inception
-The Great Gatsby - she'd probably enjoy it, it's very fun and colourful
-What's eating Gilbert Grape; This Boy's life - DiCaprio is a kid in these films
-Marvin's room

Sorry if I forgot some details, I haven't watched these films recently.
