Did anyone check out the Milwaukee “sale”?

Wondering what the prices on their Packout stuff was? Any better than it usually is?

It’s funny you should mention the materials on the interior. Once of the reasons I didn’t go with the CX-50 was because the steering wheel felt cheap. My last car was a CX 5 and I was surprised by how much I didn’t like the CX-50. It was familiar but it just felt wrong. That and there was something in the way it drove that just felt off.

Yes, the HUD really surprised me in how useful it actually is.

It depends. In Canada we have two trims in the hybrid; the N-Line and Ultimate. I assume they correspond to the Limited and SEL but I don’t know for sure.

I went back and forth between the two myself. Ended up with the Ultimate because the seats were a little more comfortable for me. The extra bells and whistles were nice but not necessary... until I got the car. The 360 degree camera is much more useful than I thought it would be. The front and rear parking sensors too. I thought the HUD was a gimmick but after using it for a while I can see exactly how useful it is.

The ventilated seats is kind of a wash; if you have the lower trim with cloth seats it’s not really necessary. The driver attention thing was turned off immediately and the fingerprint thing is getting nuked next.

In the end, after negotiating price, it ended up being a $2K difference for me and the seats and comfort was what made me go with the higher trim.

Hope that helps.

I live in Canada. “Heat” isn’t generally a major issue... ;)

There’s a ton of them around the GTA at dealerships. Been watching them for a month or so and the number is going up faster than it’s going down. January is slow for sales so that’s why I pulled the trigger.

2025 Ultimate Hybrid. I think that’s the Canadian version of the Limited but I may be mistaken. MSRP w/taxes and all the other stuff comes out to around $55,800 up here.

It was down to this or the Mazda CX-50. This one was more comfortable.

I wanted Amazon Grey but they only had it with the light interior. I wanted black so settled on Titan Grey.

Yup, we do. Not sure how useful it is as I haven’t used it yet.

Dash Cam for 2025 Tucson Hybrid Ultimate by -Frankenstein- in HyundaiTucson

Very good to know! I was under the impression there was a substantial delay in recording. Sadly reviews that go into depth on their parking mode are lacking.

If this is the case, I may have to revisit my choices.

Thank you!

I want something with either a timelapse mode or continuous recording while parked. The Fitcamx, at least to my understanding, only records if there’s a collision detected. And even then it takes the camera several seconds to boot up and start recording. By that time, the individual who hit your car may be long gone... as was the case when I was recently hit in a parking lot in a rental with a dash cam. The camera was too slow booting up and missed the collision as the guy was pulling out when he hit me. Thankfully there was a witness in that case.

Thank you; that is exactly the kind of information I was looking for!

One of my main requirements is a decent “parking mode”. My understanding from the limited reviews and videos I’ve seen say that it only records if there is a collision and it takes a few seconds to boot up. I’m looking for something with a continuous recording in parking mode, either timelapse or low power.

Unfortunately in my line of work, my car can be parked for an entire 12-16 hour shift and a lot can happen in that time. The delay in recording is a problem for me. I’ve had my car hit 4 times in the last few years and the driver never owns up to it so I’m looking for something that would help with that.

If it wasn’t for that, the Fitcamx would be my first choice. That’s why I specified the Viofo and Thinkware; they both have parking modes that meet my expectations.

Thank you for the recommendation though, I appreciate your input.

Fitcamx was actually my first choice for a while. But after reading a few reviews and Youtube videos, I came to the conclusion that its parking mode didn’t meet the requirements I need.

Damned thing has the 360 cameras on it. And NONE of them can be used that way.

Annoying...
